12/15: Guadalajara, Neza

Ovaciones has interviews with the major participants on tonight’s Arena Mexico show. Corelone is quoted (which I hope means he’s actually in the country) saying this will be his revenge for that chairshot. Universo feels Corelone and Kenzo’s hair will be a Christmas present. Kenzo vows victory in five minutes! In a Notimex article, Kenzo also says Universo is one of the worst wrestlers in the world. The trios teams talk as well, but don’t say anything.

  1. Efesto, Averno and Mephisto were called “Los Principes del Infierno” in Ovaciones. There was no quotes by Shocker, which is said to be MIA, drugs?? Might be, but I’m leaning more towards trying CMLL to force grant him the win… I wouldn’t be surprised to see Bucanero in the main event and he and Universo winning while Shocker fades into obscurity…

  2. Ovaciones once tried calling Averno & Mephisto “the Assassins of Hell”, and it didn’t stick with anyone but me, so I’m waiting on this nickname.

This been something goofy with this/these press conferences. Usually everyone’s there, but then they say Kenzo’s already signed and it’s only going to be the other three, and then only Universo and Kenzo there, and then they magically have those quotes from Corelone today in Ovaciones. They’ve got the Corleone/Universo faceoff picture too…but that’s the outfit Corelone was wearing at the 11/20 parade, so I’m thinking the picture was actually taken then (thinking that the show would be 12/01.)

My guess is this was all ill planned out, and there was just some logistic problems – guys were booked in other parts of the country and couldn’t make it back to do the press conference, and then later actually could, thus the changing stories.
