11/08 AAA Guerra de Titanes Possible Lineup

anto_141286 on the Box Y Lucha board posted a card for next Friday’s AAA Guerra de Titanes. Not completely sure it’s authentic, but it’s got a bit of plausibility to it. (This is also what KrisZ posted in the comments.)

AAA (FRI) 12/08 Centro de Convenciones de Ciudad Madero, Tamaulipas Lineup
1) Billy Boy, Faby Apache, Pimpinela Escarlata, Mascarita Sagrada vs El Apache, Polvo de Estrellas, Rossy Moreno, Mini Abismo Negro
2) Elegdio, Laredo Kid, Alebrije, Angel vs Abismo Negro, Antifaz, Charly Manson, Histeria
3) Crazy Boy, Joe Lider, Psicosis II vs Cuervo, Escoria, Ozz
4) Brazo de Plata & Intocable vs Scorpio Jr. & Alan Stone [chain, hair]
5) La Parka Jr., Octagon, Zorro vs ?, ??, ??
6) Cibernetico vs Muerte Cibernetcio

Like most shows since Triplemania, it’s a lot of rehashing of things done before. 3rd is a rematch from the Atomicos title switch, 4th was done with Brazo de Plata Jr. in Intocable’s place (and no hair on the line), the 5th match is yet another AAA Tecnicos vs Foreign Legion match (Konnan and the Head Hunters or TNA guys – EVIL SHARK BOY), and they just did the main event on 11/18.

AAA has said they’d do more of the AAA Tag tournament on the show, which is the main iffy reason I’m not sure about the card. Not sure AAA’s right though – Alan Stone’s match would come up on this show if they did matches here, and I don’t think they’d have him twice. (They could substitute in the tag tournament, sure.)

Tonight’s the last AAA taping before the show, so I expect we’ll get some confirmation on the card over the weekend.

  1. No Billy Boy/Fabi vs. Gran Apache/Rossy tag match? Feh. I hope they don’t blow that off on TV instead of on a big show because that angle is fantastic. (…then again, Apache is fantastic and I’ve always liked Fabi since ARSION.)

the big story: the best known man to wear the Huracan Ramirez mask, Daniel Garcia, passed away on 11/01. He was 54. There were a lot of obits covering Garcia’s life, and explaining the legal issues which led to him…
