Dream Deciphered

Based on today’s release of the 09/03 AAA lineup, I can backtrack and figure out who’s advanced in AAA’s Dream Tournament. (Did we ever find out what the winner gets first winning this tournament? Way to go AAA, for not updating the website.)

Anyway, here’s what I’ve got.

Mr. Condor-

Obviously, the first round losers may have been replaced, and there’s no way of knowing it at this point. Based on what Robert’s got for the 08/15 show (the cibernetico for matchups – which were already announced), I’d presume Policeman replaced Toxico in the opening match versus Rey Cometa, but I don’t know for sure.

The semifinals happen on 09/03, and there’s a three way booked for the next big card. I would presume it’s going to be Laredo, Cometa and Kaoma moving on, but that’s because I have no idea who Pesadilla is.

  1. There was no Toxico entered in the tournament. I think it was a stupid AAA typo b/c Police Man is listed for the first day of tapings but not the rest. I’m almost 100% sure now that Police Man was the guy played Chaman at Guerra De Titanes against Shika.

I’m VERY HAPPY Pegasso and Apache got matched up b/c Apache is gonna do exactly what he did with Angel in round 1 of the Middleweight Title tourney and just give Pegasso all the offense while making him look like a million bucks. Hopefully AAA keeps him around b/c he’s AWESOME! That’s probably the match I’m most looking forward to watching in round 1 although Super Fly/Kaoma Jr. looks good too.

Pesadilla is a Tulancingo guy so it makes sense to have him move on and get a match in his hometown. I’d be STUNNED if he advanced though.

As of right now it looks like Rey Cometa and Laredo Kid’s tourney to lose. Although Apache seemed to be the most pushed in the interviews they did as he went on and on about how he isn’t a rookie and he’s been in the main events already so he just wants to ruin everyone else’s chances.:)

I’m kinda disapointed since I wanted to see a crazy 4 on 4 match at Verano De Escandalo but maybe we’ll still get it with different guys.
