Other news

Scott Steiner reappeared in TNA for last night’s tapings, so perhaps he might show up in AAA tonight as well.

El Pancracio has a good long interview with El Dandy about his career and what he’s doing now (physical therapy – he’s not in it, he’s helping other people with it.)

Ayumi Kurihara will be in CMLL starting June 6. No word about how long she’s here for (it was just a week last year.) She’s owed a title shot at Amapola.

Dark Angel was interviews on a TV show, until Princesa Sujei ran in. I like to imagine Sujei just flipping thru channels at home, angrily spotting Dark Angel on an interview show, and storming down to the studio to destroy a Canadian. This was actually promotion for the DTU show.

Mi Lucha Libre has a video interview with Charly Manson! (It’s only about Drago, that’s why it’s down here.)

Los Traumas talk about their AULL Tag Title win, and there’s footage of the AULL vs IWRG ciberentico.

Rob has highlights of the 03/01/2011 CMLL show.

Box Y Lucha #3026 has WWE in Mexico, and Marco wanting to get back into CMLL (still.)

Lineups

CMLL (MON) 05/23/2011 Arena Puebla
1) Asturiano & Centella de Oro vs Aguila Guerrera & Fuerza Chicana
2) Höruz, Metatrón, Stigma vs Puma King, Siki Ozama Jr., Tiger Kid
3) Ángel de Plata, Delta, Fuego vs Cancerbero, Euforia, Raziel
4) Sagrado, Stuka Jr., Valiente vs Ephesto, Mephisto, Misterioso Jr.
5) La Máscara, La Sombra, Strong Man vs Atlantis, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas

Okay, not a trios title match! Maybe I should stick with Atlantis/Sombra, since that’s what they were building up on TV.

The same day Ultimo Guerrero is supposed to be in Guadalajara to defend the CMLL Heavyweight Title versus Sombra, this Sunday, he’s supposed to be in Guatemala to defend the CMLL Universal Title. Which is also odd because he doesn’t have the Universal Title. the Guatemala promotion has brought in CMLL guys before and has specifically been advertising UG as coming in during May for over a month, and this particular day for a couple weeks.

  1. Jeff Jarrett Confirmed on his twitter that it is Abyss Going with him to the AAA Show Tonight.

  2. Actually, the dark angel was not there to promote DTU: She spoke of her early days as a wrestler, her training routine (saying her breasts are 100% real!) and life for a female wrestler. Later on the show, there was also more questions of female wrestling and the obligated boyfriend question. Then Princesa Sugey showed up to sub that goofy clown in a match with the dark one.

With the exception of TNA, wherever the dark angel goes, there goes Princesa Sugey. So, this was like any other TV show they have been together before. There was no mention of TNA or DTU.

The dark angel and Princesa Sugey are very good friends in and out of the ring. They are always together supporting each other and pretending to be great enemies in the ring.
