Delta & Maya vs Tiger & Puma, Diamante Azul champion, Neza Kid

CMLL (SUN) 02/02/2014 Arena Coliseo [CMLL, LuchaWorldYahoo! Deportes]
1) Apocalipsis & Inquisidor b Bengala & Leono
Rudos took 1/3.
2) Magnus, Molotov, Sensei DQ Artillero, Camorra, Súper Comando
Tecnicos took 1/3 in a bad match. Camorra’s first post-mask loss appearance in DF. He pulled Molotov’s mask for the DQ. There was a threat of a rematch.
3) Hijo del Signo b Dragon Lee [lightning]
Hijo del Signo submitted Dragon Lee in about 8 minutes.
4) Boby Zavala, Canelo Casas, Nosferatu b Pegasso, Starman, Súper Halcón Jr.
Skandalo was listed as making his return, but was replaced by Canelo Casas. Rudos took 1/3.
5) Negro Casas, Puma, Tiger b Atlantis, Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr.
Good match. Zacarias returned from injury to second Negro Casas. Rudos took 1/3. Cuatro (or Tres) Fantasticos won again, and Puma & Tiger challenged Delta & Maya to a Coliseo Tag Title defense next week.
6) Dragón Rojo Jr., Pólvora, Rey Escorpión b La Sombra, Mistico, Valiente
Rudos took 1/3. Revolucionarios, who just lost to the trios champions in a non-title match a couple weeks ago, want another shot after beating Mistico & Valiente. Mistico appeared to accept, but it’s not happening yet. Escorpion made a sly reference to Sombra showing up on the Sin Cara show.

I haven’t yet seen this show, but it sounds like the first three matches were not up to standard, and the last two matches were again very good, with the semimain being the best match on the show again. I have great expectations for Puma & Tiger vs Maya & Delta and I’m glad it’s happening in this building.

CMLL didn’t do any live results this time, but the results page is far more detailed than Friday night’s show, a definite improvement.

CMLL (SUN) 02/02/2014 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [@acogdl]
1) Brillante & Explosivo b Furia Nazi & Relampago Azul
Brillante replaced Indigo. Tencicos took 1/3.
2) El Yaqui b Demonio Rojo
Demonio Rojo replaced William Rock.
3) Halcón de Plata & Javier Cruz Jr. b Acertijo & Ángel del Mal
Tecnicos took 2/3.
4) Bárbaro Cavernario, Maléfico, Sádico b Gallo, Sagrado, Smaker
Rudos took 2/3, Malefico sneaking a foul on Sagrado.
5) Diamante Azul b Olímpico [OCCIDENTE HEAVY]
Diamante took falls 2/3 to win the title. Olimpico falls in a third defense.
6) Shocker b Terrible
Shocker took 1/3 in a battle of rudos.

Azul gets a new heavyweight title to replace the DF one he confusingly lost. He should be more careful with this one.

Sounds like Shocker wrestled as a tecnico in the main event.

Neza Kid took Freelance’s hair in Arena Neza.

DoradaFan has an Astro de Plata tribtue video.

Segunda Caida includes Blue Panther/Negro Casas on their match of the year list.

Shu el Guerrero is hosting an amateur wrestling tournament.

WWE has an office in Mexico.

Lineup

1) Flyer & Robin vs Camorra & Espanto Jr.
2) Magnus, Metálico, Molotov vs Artillero, Nosferatu, Súper Comando
3) Súper Halcón Jr. vs Boby Zavala [lightning]
4) Blue Panther, La Máscara, Valiente vs Gran Guerrero, Rey Bucanero, Terrible
5) Delta & Guerrero Maya Jr. vs Puma & Tiger [Arena Coliseo TAG]
Delta & Guerrero Maya are champion. First defense.
6) Máscara Dorada, Mistico, Volador Jr. vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Pólvora, Rey Escorpión

The Casas family really need gold to complete the Four Horseman bit (but maybe not THOSE belts.)

Guessign they’re setting up a return to Arena Mexico on 02/16 with the trios title match. Fourth match is a rare DF appearanece of Gran Guerrero; he’s only shown up about once a month since November.  Second match may continue an issue. I’m really surprised Camorra is sticking around (and kind of suspect he’s got one more apuesta match in him.)

A new Astro Boy.
7) Argenis, La Sombra, Sin Cara b Argos, Black Warrior, Oriental
AAA & CMLL wrestlers in the same match. Sin Cara beat Black Warrior with La Mistica. Sin Cara thanked the crowd, who loudly chanted Mistico.

The R de Rudo link has video of the main event. Tercera Caida appeared to be recording the show, so it should turn up there as well.

La Sombra told the press he was happy secure in CMLL, and was just here to support his friend. We don’t know if Sombra got permission to appear; Sombra would risk severe consequences for working a match with AAA luchadors if it wasn’t approved. Sombra’s never been known to get in that sort of trouble, so it’s actually more likely he got permission. Sin Cara has issues with people in CMLL, but he spoke highly of Paco Alonso in his Tercera Caida interivew and Alonso is the only one who could’ve actually approved this. Maybe it was a one time favor (though it won’t be the last time Sombra & Sin Cara are a team.)

Estrellas del Ring has a Sin Cara’s post match comments to the press, with him saying he’s returned home, he’s returned to his traditional colors, and the fans know he’s the original and as authentic as Mexico City & Mexico.

Divino used his high speed Mistica on Mr. Maldito for the win. This was listed as trios but turned out to be a five way (no Pequeno Cobra.)
3) Hacker b Slayer Pack and Fly Warrior and Septimo Dragon [DTU AI, #1 Contenders]
Hacker beat Septimo Dragon, will get a shot at Jinzo’s title.
4) Ángel del Misterio & Chica Ye-Ye b Crazy Boy & Pesadilla
Listed as a four way match for the #1 contenders to DTU tag team titles, but no sign of the Principe Halcon & ? team, Hormiga, and Black Fire.
5) Aero Boy & La Magnifica b Drastik Boy & Keira
7) Kaleth & Violento Jack b Flamita & Rocky Lobo and Jinzo & Rey Celestial
Moved to semifinal. 2 count rules.
8) Cíclope, Miedo Extremo, Onita Santana b Ángel o Demonio, Ovett, Paranoiko
moved to main event. Ovett was about to beat Ciclope, but Ciclope turned it around and got the win. Porros blamed Paranoiko for the loss and attacked him, with Santana making the save. Seemed to set up a tag match.

Fenix lost his Crash Cruiserweight championship to Angel Metalico on the promotion’s show on Friday. It was said to be after three defenses, though there are none mentioned on previous Crash shows. (It’s possible he’s defending them on shows we never hear about.)
