Astral & Olimpico take out the champ

recap

Sacrifica Maya

taped 2013-10-01 @ Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
Astral & Eléctrico vs Pequeño Olímpico & Pequeño Violencia: a much more solid match for the técnicos than their recent (at the time) Arena Mexico appearance – Astral wasn’t missing things by a foot this time. Pequeño Violencia, on the other hand, didn’t look good and did not seem much into the match. Olímpico was fine and the match was generally the same, getting better in the end

Guerrero Maya straight on tope

Virus ringpost armdrag

Virus vs Guerrero Maya Jr. for the CMLL World Super Lightweight Championship: EXCELLENT – the best testament to the quality of this match is how people reacted to the Guerrero/Malenko cradle reversal spot. An overdone cliché spot that never ends a match, got people to believe it might actually end that way. (Since a hold no one was expected actually did it, the people probably should’ve expected it!) All three falls were great fun and built on top of each other well. The first two falls were as much a fight as a Rush match, just a fight over skill rather than force, and they both beautifully built into the finish. The third fall was more like a normal CMLL big match, thought his one had runs of offense and guys in trouble for minutes only to rally back (and a lot more than move and a kickout.) They even brought back the finish of the previous match from two years ago as a near fall, which I don’t even know if most people who saw this remembered but really worked well if you did. They did everything right here. This is one of the best matches of the year.

2/3/4 aired LAS. Second match was quick but violent. Main event was expected chaos. Anubis Black appears to be another Trauma – maybe trainee Leroy who had a similar outfit?

Black Terry Jr. has photos of the Coliseo Coacalco show with Shu el Guerrero versus Negro Navarro and the RCH show.

Ciber Payaso took Euforia (Monterrey)’s hair in Arena Coliseo Monterrey.

The lineups for the Puebla lucha libre expo are expected to be announced today.

Dinamic Black and Fresero Jr. talk about their tag title win.
