Matches I Didn’t See But Should’ve From This Month

Don’t see anything while looking over the list. Anything I missed?

FCK, Navarros beat self-defeating Consejo, FantasticaMania 2014

FCK (SUN) 01/20/2013 Coliseo Coacalco [Black Terry Jr. (flickr), Estrellas del Ring, MT]
1) Mantra b Kalibus
2) Latin Dragon (CZW) b Kaientai, Fulgore, Zurdog, Belial, Sairus (PXN), Astro Rey Jr., Chik Tormenta
Latin Dragon beat Kaientai to win. Chik Tormenta was added to the match and took a strong shot from Kaientai which left her bleeding.
3) Trauma II b Trauma I
They hit each other hard. Trauma II won, and Trauma I was limping after the match. Money thrown in the match.
4) Ricky Marvin b Matt Cross, Chuck Taylor
with no Fenix or Daga, their two foreign opponents faced Ricky Marvin instead. Taylor & Cross got along at the start of the match, then turned on each other. Cross pinned Taylor, Marvin pinned Cross for the win.
5) Magnifico b Dr. Cerebro, Judas el Traidor
6) Extreme Tiger b Masada (CZW)
Masada is CZW Heavyweight champion. This is a non-title match. Tiger used a 450 splash to win a match that was mostly wrestling with a few chair moves.

IWRG (SUN) 01/20/2013 Arena Naucalpan [Black Terry Jr. (flickr), Estrellas del Ring, IWRG]
1) Araña de Plata & Jack b Seiya & Serpiente de Oro
2) Dinamic Black & Saruman b Alan Extreme & Imposible
3) Dave The Clown, Niko, Rothen Clown b Factor, Rayan, Spartan
Factor, Spartan and Rayan replaced Centvrión, Golden Magic, and Suicida. Clowns won via foul.
4) Canis Lupus, Oficial 911, Toscano b el Ángel, Trauma II, Veneno
Rudos took 2/3. 911 tricked Angel until believing Trauma II hit him, and pinned Veneno while they argued.
5) Negro Navarro & Trauma I b Máscara Año 2000 Jr. & Texano Jr. [IWRG IC TAG]
Navarros took 1/3 to keep the titles. Consejo went after Trauma I’s right knee (hurt earlier the day on the FCK show.) In the third, Trauma I took out Mascara Ano 2000 Jr. with a dive, Toscano came to ringside with a Trauma II, Texano was distracted and Negro rolled him up for the win. Fifth defense.

Toscano messing it up for everyone.

NJPW says they may take FantasticaMania to Osaka and Nagoya next year. It’s been held only in Tokyo the first three years. Not sure if that means a longer tour, or if they’ll just run Korakuen Hall fewer times or not at all.

For what it’s worth, there’s plenty of photos of Mistico away from the FantasticaMania shows and he didn’t seem to be wearing his shoulder/arm brace in any of them. I’m sure he was still hurt, but I think the sling was just to make the injury clearer to the fans. It doesn’t look like as long an absence.

La Parka, Perro Aguayo Jr., and Texano beat Psycho Circus in Arena Lopez Mateos.

Rob has highlights of Pequeno Reyes del Aire 2011, AAA Fusion 09/30/12 and Alexis Salazar being taken out on a dive.

Chucho el Roto & Iron Love won the AULL Tag Team titles back in Costa Rica.

Simbolo brags about his win in Arena Coliseo Monterrey.

A Lucha Libre art exhibit opens this weekend at Austin, Texas’ Mexic-Arte Museum.

Lineups

IWRG (THU) 01/24/2013 Arena Naucalpan
1) Galaxy & Sky Ángel vs Araña de Plata Jr. & Dragón Celestial
2) Saruman & Seiya vs Epidemia & Imposible
3) Centvrión, Chico Che, Dr. Cerebro vs Apolo Estrada, Avisman, Black Terry
4) Dinamic Black, Extreme Tiger, Veneno vs Canis Lupus, Cerebro Negro, X-Fly
5) Hijo de Pirata Morgan, Muerte Bucanera, Pirata Morgan, Pirata Morgan Jr., Piratita Morgan, Piratita Morgan Jr. vs Oficial 911, Oficial AK47, Oficial Fierro, Oficialito 911, Oficialito AK47, Oficialito Fierro

All 6 Pirates versus All 6 Oficials. Muerte Bucanera is an interesting story – he’s the one handed wrestler who used to be a DTU regular. There was a point where Pirata Morgan was upset about Muerte Bucanera using that character without his permission, but I guess it got worked out.

Apolo Estrada’s first match here since March.

CMLL (SUN) 01/27/2013 Arena Coliseo
1) Génesis & Oro Jr. vs Guerrero Negro Jr. & Inquisidor
2) Eléctrico, Fantasy, Shockercito vs Demus 3:16, Pequeño Violencia, Pequeño Warrior
3) Pegasso, Starman, Stigma vs Arkángel de la Muerte, Hooligan, Skándalo
4) Dark Angel vs Princesa Blanca [lightning]
5) Ángel de Oro, Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr. vs Averno, Black Warrior, Negro Casas
6) Máscara Dorada, Shocker, Valiente vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Pólvora, Rey Escorpión

Electrico’s first match since breaking his leg last year. Princesa Blanca is back from the flu. Top could matches could be good.

CMLL (SUN) 01/27/2013 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Azteca de Oro & Meteoro vs Relampago Azul & Thunder Boy
2) Höruz & Idolo vs Demonio Maya & In Memoriam
3) Virgo vs Sádico, El Hippie, Javier Cruz Jr., El Piraña, Sky Kid, El Divino, Brillante [OCCIDENTE WELTER, semifinal]
winner faces Leo for the vacant title next week
4) Bárbaro Cavernario vs Halcón de Plata [OCCIDENTE MIDDLE]
Barbaro Cavernario is champion
5) La Sombra, Máximo, Rush vs Mephisto, Terrible, Tiger

Normally, a rudo is going to win that cibernetico to face tecnico Leo, but none of the 3 rudos listed have a history of winning. Javier Cruz Jr. might be the better pick.
