Puma went for Triton’s mask, but Tritón countered it and beat him.

This week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter mentions Pentagon Jr. is Dark Dragon. That had been the rumor. It’s a really good spot for him and for Octagon Jr., who should have some good matches with him. The newsletter also says the show drew 7,500. Again, it did not look that full in the pictures.

Texano Jr. is not surprised he’s champion – he promised he’d beat that foreigner, Mesias talked a lot, but Texano won anyway. Texano is proud to be the only double champion in the company and thanks Dorian & Konnan for their recent support. He’s looking at defending his title versus Cibernetico, Mesias and even other rudos.

Monclova has an interview with ex-luchador Alberto Mora. He talks about crazed fans, and a time he saw his partner Herodes being stabbed by a fan on the outside, so he dove off the top rope onto the fan to break it up, then  knocked out the fan with a chair shot which caused the rest of the crowd to want to kill him. He’s also standing for a photo with El Pantera (a different one.)

DJ Spectro has info about two more digital collections of lucha magazines from the 60s to the 80s. The last one of these, from this past summer, cost just a bit less than $200 and required accessing the Mexican banking system in a way I didn’t understand, so I know I thought about it but never did it. (Did anyone else?) It seems like content you’re not likely to get in and definitely not scanned in already (a real pain.)

AAA has part one of it’s interviews with all the Octagons and their 15 minute preview/hype segment for Mesias & Texano Jr. that’ll air on TV before the match.

This week’s AAA Fusion show is the (first part?) of the Hector Garza tribute show, with the XMW match and the opener. This week’s Tercera Caida is from their trip to Japan, with Super Crazy taking over the show and lots of interviews with foreigners on tour.

Bill has highlights of 08/25/2011 IWRG

Lucha Libre in Japan

Violento Jack & Aeroboy will go to Japan for a deathmatch against Jun Kasai & Masashi Takeda in 12/25. It’s for FREEDOMS, a small promotion running Korakuen Hall.

Diamante Azul thinks he and Rush left a good impression and earned the respect of the Japanese fans.

Lineups

IWRG (SUN) 12/09/2012 Arena Naucalpan

This is supposed to be the last IWRG on AYM show to air in the US – the network is being dropped in the US on 12/12 – so we’ll get the set up to some matches which don’t seem to be happening until later in the year. It was fun while it lasted (which is also what we’ll be saying about the segundas.)

I screwed this up before; the SLP three way match is just a preview of the masks match and that’s only happening on this show.

A promo with Swann aired on Tercera Caida to announce him as being on this show (and the 12/11 one.)

No Crazy Boy return after all.
