4) Ángel de Oro, Hijo del Fantasma, Stuka Jr. DQ Bobby Zavala, Cancerbero, Raziel
Zavala replaced Misterioso. Tecnicos took 1/3, the last when Raziel knocked Stuka off the top rope and the rudos decided to stomp him for an excessive violence DQ. They took Stuka’s mask for good measure.

6) Terrible b La Sombra [CMLL HEAVY]
Terrible is champion. Falls of 5:02, 2:15 and 10:35. Sombra won the first fall with a springboard moonsault after the first try at a the double moonsault seemed to wrong. Terrible won the second with a cavernaria. In a long third fall which included Sombra moonsault stomping Terrible low, Terrible won with his usual slaps/Schwein finish to keep the title. Good match.

I’ll have full IWRG and AAA results after the official ones go up, but you can see what I pieced together below.

A full recap of the Arena Lopez Mateos show hasn’t turned up yet. In the three way main event, LA Park won by foul to Dr. Wagner Jr. after Canek was earlier DQed for a foul. Earlier, Negro Navarro beat Solar for the FLLM Master championship. Attendance looked very strong for this show, one of the best Arena Lopez Mateos turn outs of the year.

Rob has highlights of Perros del Mal 03/01/11 and CMLL 11/13/12.

Bill has highlights of 12/15/2011 Todos x El Todos.

Lucha Libre in Japan

12/02 NJPW: YOSHI-HASHI [O] & Jado b Diamante Azul [X] & Rush

Well, that’s embarrassing. Azul looked bad in the match, especially the finish. Japanese promotions will usually job out foreign wrestlers who come in and look bad, and Azul lost a lot and might have earned the results he got. Hopefully he’ll learn something from this.

Silver King’s partners are the debuting Pentagon Jr. and Parka Negra, both evil versions of the originals.
3) La Parka, Octagón, Octagon Jr. b Parka Negra, Pentagon Jr., Silver King
Parka Negra and Pentagon Jr. were Silver King’s surprise partners, introduced by Dorian and Konnan. Parka Negra may be Mortiz, if you believe this Facebook post on a Bizarros fan group. (Mortiz also said on his own Facebook page that he’s coming back to Arena Mexico next year. Better off believing none of it.) Octagon pinned Silver King get the pinfall.
4) Monster Clown, Murder Clown, Psycho Clown b Devil Rocker, Machine Rocker, Soul Rocker
Rockers took their first loss. Uro attacked Murder again after the match.

5) Texano Jr. b El Mesías [AAA HEAVY]
Mesias is champion. Fenix was scheduled to be his second, but Octagon Jr. replaced him. Silver King was Texano’s second. Both bled and there was at least one ref bump and one time Silver pulled the ref out to stop the count, but Texano Jr. won the match and the title with a sit down powerbomb cleanly.

2012 Guerra de Titanes preview

Actually, less a preview and more picks, since I already kind of did the preview.

Show will air on TV. It will not air on TV, there is no stream. There will be a live chat, time still TBD.

AAA TV (SUN) 12/02/2012 Auditorio Benito Juarez, Zapopan, Jalisco
***Guerra de Titanes, 2012***
1) Cuervo, Fabi Apache, Mascarita Dorada, Pimpinela Escarlata vs Halloween, Mari Apache, Mini Charly Manson, Yuriko

Probably a 8-10 minute tecnico win, as the perpetual feuds (Dorada vs Manson, Apaches, Pimpi versus every other exotico) continue .

2) Juventud Guerrera vs FénixDagaTeddy HartPsicosisJack EvansJoe Lider? [AAA CRUISER, Ladder]
Juventud Guerrera is the champ

We still have no idea who the mystery person is; they haven’t even hinted at someone on TV. Xema Ion is working TNA spot shows this weekend; he’s listed as being on the Gran Forks show tonight. It scarcely matters, as does this title – like the minis one, they’ll tease feuds for the championship, then throw everyone in a multi-man match. These matches tend to have some cool spots and some spots that do not look so cool (usually involving Lider and Nicho.) I’ll guess Juvi wins, but your guess is as good as mine

3) La Parka, Octagón, Octagon Jr. vs ??, ???, Silver King

Octagon Jr. is debuting here, but like the last match, we don’t have any hints about who Silver King is teaming with. Toscano and Mascara Ano 2000 Jr. make sense, but I’m not sure why they wouldn’t just say them if it was them. There’s a surprise coming.

Yesterday’s AAA had a couple strange news items related to this match. Octagon & Samuray del Sol were being shadowed by a mystery person at the AAA offices. The following skit showed a silhouette of someone in a Parka mask and a digitized voice talking about not forgetting what had been done to him and vowing revenge at Guerra de Titanes. Maybe Tabu has remembered he was destroyed by his brother last year and should be doing something besides just hanging with the Bizarros? Normal booking has the tecnico with the new gimmick winning in his debut, but I think the rudos have a trick or two.

4) Monster Clown, Murder Clown, Psycho Clown vs Devil Rocker, Machine Rocker, Soul Rocker

No surprises in this one; this should probably be the most basic Clowns vs Rockers match possible since they’ll be doing it another hundred times between here and TripleMania (at AAA’s usual pace). Clowns nearly win, Uro interferes, Rockers get the win.

5) El Mesías vs Texano Jr. [AAA HEAVY]
Mesias is champion. Fenix will be his second, Silver King will be Texano’s second.

I don’t think anyone believes Texano is going to win the title on this show. This is more a match to show he’s capable of being at this level. Mesias likes to have epic matches on big shows, this is Texano’s chance to prove he’s capable of having them with him. Texano is a great prospect, but has got to prove it and this is as good an opportunity as he’s going to get. Finish and post match will probably involve whatever the next step is for El Consejo.

6) Cibernético vs VampiroDr. Wagner Jr.LA Parkel Hijo del Perro AguayoChessman [cage, hair, mask]

I liked the Heroes Inmortales cage match because it was short. I hope I like this one for the same reason. Chessman is the obvious loser. They’ve focusing so strongly on the three individual rivalries and avoiding all mention of the cage match coming down to two people who aren’t feuding. That often means they want to ‘surprise’ people later. There’s plenty of other reasons for Vampiro not to get Chessman’s hair. I’m going to be randoma nd take perro Aguaoy Jr., though I dont’ have a great reason why.
