1) Volaris b Matrix Jr.
straight falls for Volaris.
2) Astro de Plata & Astro Rey Jr. b Pacto Negro & Polifacético
Tecnicos took 2/3.
3) Freyser, Saruman, Tony Rivera b Alan Extreme, Carta Brava Jr., Imposible
Tecnicos took 2/3. Saruman and Carta Brava ripped up each other’s masks, and Saruman pinned Brava with “Sugar Reloaded.”
4) Eterno, Oficial AK47, X-Fly b Angelico, Centvrión, Veneno
Centvrión reappeared here. Eterno replaced Mascara Ano 2000 Jr. The rudos ripped up Centvrion’s mask, causing him to go to back to get a new one and the rudos taking the first. Tecnicos came back in the second, but the rudos cheated to win in the third. Eterno pulled Centvrion’s mask and fouled him before the pin.
5) Chico Che b Black Terry [hair] Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
Chico Che won the first with his splash, Black Terry took the second. Chico Che took out referee Reyes with his splash in the third, and Black Terry kept getting pins with no one to count. Alan Extreme, Terry’s second, complained to the commissioner. Those two got a new referee, but Carta Brava Jr. (Chico Che’s second) fouled Black Terry in the meantime. Alan took out Brava with a huge tope, but Chico Che had the pin when Grillo ran in to count.

The hair match is up in three parts: one two three

@guerrero_cmll, CMLL’s Guerrero del Futuro’s twitter account, says NJPW’s Prince Devitt will be coming soon to CMLL soon. He also confirms the Namajague who debuted in Guadalajara last night will debut this Tuesday is another NJPW wrestler. He’s on Sunday’s Arena Coliseo (DF) show.

Rob has a Rey Misterio Jr. dropkick from earlier in the career.

Nice of AAA to link to El Consejo’s facebook. Also on Facebook: a group petitioning for three hours of AAA each week on Televisa.

X-Project says their debut main event is Super Crazy, Raven, and Tommy Dreamer vs a Mexican trio TBA.

Jack Evans says Perro Aguayo is a strong fighter, but he can beat him.

Lucha POP is teasing Traumas vs Sami Callihan. That’s an excellent idea!

Alison Evans (no relation!) talks about her match on the Versus show.

Lineups

CMLL (SUN) 02/05/2012 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) El Alteño vs Metalik
2) Brillante vs Acertijo
3) Esfinge & Halcon de Plata vs Demonio Maya & Infierno
4) Brazo de Oro, Gallo, Stuka Jr. vs Arkángel de la Muerte, El Barbaro, Ráfaga
5) Atlantis vs Último Guerrero

It’s six weeks out from a major show, so I guess CMLL’s back to teasing Atlantis & Ultimo Guerrero will really have a mask match this time, really.

This is Brazo de Oro’s first appearance in Guadalajara in two years, when he lost his hair to Asesino Negro. He was in Acapulco this past November, seemingly setting up a hair match there, but that didn’t pan out. I wonder who’s getting the win here.

great match roundup, week of 01/22/2012

Forgot to do this, then got busy. It’ll be back on Friday this week if I can get to it.

Great/Excellent matches this week

We have matches here!

Volador/Sombra from FantasticMania Night 2 (Excellent) I wouldn’t call anything else must see, but there was good stuff involving Mascara Dorada & Rush.

La Máscara, La Sombra, Máscara Dorada vs Mr. Águila, Psicosis, Volador Jr. from 01/21 FOX (Great). That whole taping lived up to the hype as being one of the best in recent years.

Have Watched, nothing to add

the Noches de Coliseo match – no.
01/21 CMLL Televisa – main event was close, but there’s a better Hijos del Averno vs Reyes del Atlatnida match if they get the chance.
01/21 CMLL C3

Have Not Watched

I do plan to get to last week’s GDL, for the trios title match. And Chico Che/Black Terry is still in the pile. Maybe I’ll end up watching both matches in the pique back to back.

Never found whatever AAA aired.

What am I missing?
