Hombre Bala was hurt on a Puma King suplex.
4) Hijo del Fantasma, Metro, Stuka Jr. b Euforia, Pólvora, Vangelis
tecnicos took 1/3, Fantasma escaping the Polvora Driver and dropping him with a backcracker for the win.
5) Blue Panther, Brazo de Plata, La Máscara, Marco Corleone b Kraneo, Morphosis, Olímpico, Rey Bucanero
Marco is 7-0 (in main arena matches; no known matches from other locales.)

LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update.

Rob has highlights of 05/10/11 CMLL and 12/01/11 AAA

SuperLuchas 441 has the returns of LuFisto and Davey Richards to Mexico, and more of their Villano III interview. Davey is mentioned as coming back in February, to a promotion to be announced. I don’t know, but I’d put my chips on the X-Project. There’s also an interview with Epidemia, angry with IWL over not including his title chance on the 12/25 and the way the promotion has been run of late. Dinamic Black is also quoted as confused where his IWL title match has gone.

01/21 AAA TV Results (Guanajuato)

AAA TV (SAT) 01/21/2012 Estadio José Aguilar, Maya de Guanajuato, Guanajuato [AAA (R de Rudo)]
1) Mortiz & Semental b Billy el Malo & Escoria
El Consejo interfered. Toscano & Mascara Ano 2000 Jr. distracted the ref while Texano took out the Bizarros. Mortiz & Semental got El Consejo shirts after the match, though the idea is they were always El Consejo members and we’re just finding out.
2) El Elegido & Fabi Apache b Alan Stone & La Hechicera
Alan Stone was warned to start winning or else prior to the match. Alan promptly lost. It’s not good to be Alan Stone right now. La Hechicera replaced Sexy Star for reasons unknown. After the match, Konnan showed up to say Konnan things, but Cibernetico ran him off before he got too far in to it. Cibernetico talked of his relationship with Antonio Pena and said he was tired of other people trying to destroy AAA. He promised war with Sociedad (and Parka, always Parka) and el Consejo.
3) Cuervo, Espíritu, Ozz b Dark Dragon, Tigre Cota, Tito Santana
Before the match, five front row fans unveiled a banner: “Octagon, El Consejo si es estandarte” (Octagon, CMLL is the standard.) Octagon, who was with the Militia, did not like this. Neither did security, who threw the fans out. El Consejo arrived, showing they actually had the tickets for those seats, and took the spots. The five abused the wrestlers, tossing drink and popcorn at them during the match. Militia got the worst of it and lost, plus Octagon was taken away by security for going over the rail. Vampiro was supposed to be with the Dark Family, but there’s no mention of him. This would be fast, even for him.
4) Cibernético, Extreme Tiger, Joe Lider DQ Chessman, La Parka, Nicho el Millionario
May have been a DQ or no contest. El Consejo hit the ring and attacked both sides. Cibernetico was faring well until Parka fouled him. Chessman fought back against Consejo and was also beat up. Security took Consejo away.
5) el Hijo del Perro Aguayo & Héctor Garza b El Mesías & Jack Evans
Perro double stomped Jack, then accused him of lacking heart. This while Jack kept getting up every time Perro kicked him down. Jack seems to have won some bit of respect from Perro at the end.

Vampiro was (is?) in Guatemala, and did mention early in the day he wouldn’t be at the taping.

My guess is this airs on 02/05, but it’s hard to figure a pattern right now.

Next taping is on 02/03.

01/22 NJPW CMLL FantasticMania results

NJPW CMLL (SUN) 01/22/2012 Korakuen Hall [NJPWPuroresu SpiritStrong Style Spirit]
***Fantastic Mania 2012 (Day 2)***
Attendance: 1950
1) Prince Devitt, Ryusuke Taguchi, Tama Tonga, Tiger Mask IV b Gedo, Jado, Shigeo Okumura, YOSHI-HASHI
Tonga beat Okumura in 10:11.
2) Jushin Liger & Máximo b Misterioso Jr. & Taichi
Maximo beat Misterioso in 8:15. Liger goofed around with Maximo the whole match.
3) Máscara Dorada b Kushida [CMLL WELTER]
1 fall match. Dorada retained his title in 13:22. The two shook hands and talked about a rematch someday.
4) Hirooki Goto b Rush
Goto defeated Rush in 9:49.
5) Kazuchika Okada, Mephisto, Shinsuke Nakamura b Diamante, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Tetsuya Naito
Mephisto beat Diamante with the Devil’s Wings in 14:24. Okada gave Tanahashi a martinete before the finish, which Tanahashi pointed out probably should’ve been a DQ under CMLL rules. (And a two week suspension!)
6) La Sombra b Volador Jr. [NWA WELTERhandheld, part 1 handheld, part 2
1 fall match. Sombra retained his title in 21:47.

That’s handheld video of the title match, from the guy who goes to the REINA shows. The full first day show popped up quick. I would guess this day’s show is not far behind.

As Stuart notes, these shows appeared to have done better than the last year’s more loaded show. I’d expect a FantasticMania 2013 and more CMLL/NJPW talent sharing thru this year.
