11/14 AAA TV Lineup (Irapuato)

AAA TV (MON) 11/14/2011 Lienzo Charro Ignacio León Ornelas, Irapuato
1) Fabi Apache & Lolita vs Jennifer Blake & Sexy Star
2) Mascarita Divina, Mini Charly Manson, Octagoncito vs Mini Monster Clown, Mini Murder Clown, Mini Psycho Clown
3) Electroshock & Extreme Tiger vs Silver King & Último Gladiador
4) Joe Lider vs Nicho el Millionario
5) Aerostar, Dr. Wagner Jr., Fenix vs Halloween, Octagón, X-Fly
6) El Mesías & Jack Evans vs Chessman & el Hijo del Perro Aguayo

Mexico Air Date: 11/26?

Main event should be interesting; Jack vs Chessman is a good idea all the time.

X-Fly vs Fenix is a twitter dream matchup for sure. Aerostar exists again!

Maybe the new thing is singles matches on every taping?

Tag match is “personal duel”. Whatever that means, I’m happy we’re getting Extreme Tiger instead of Heavy Metal in it.

Mini Psycho Circus lost their winning streak to nearly the same team (Parkita instead of Octagoncito) in Arena Lopez Mateos a couple weeks ago, it’ll be interesting if that’s acknowledged on TV.

No Abyss (or Psycho Circus), so I guess he’s just in for SLP? And really not much TNA in the ring before Guerra de Titanes; Pachuca is going to be awful late to make much of it. I am not complaining now, but it’ll be weird when if they’re all in big matches at the PPV again.

Next taping is SLP.

IWRG (SUN) 11/06/2011 Arena Naucalpan [Black Terry Jr. (flickr), Estrellas del Ring]
1) Kaving & Matrix Jr. b Máscara de la Muerte & Pacto Negro
unknown Mascara de la Muerte replaced Guerrero 2000. Doesn’t seem to be the same character as the AAA mini.
2) Alan Extreme, Carta Brava Jr., Imposible b Centurión, Saruman, Tritón Fall 1 Fall 2 Fall 3
Carta Brava Jr. was moved down to this match, replacing Kortiz. Said to be an outstanding match.
3) Bugambilia del Norte, Dinamic Black, Eragón DQ Eterno, Kortiz, Picudo Jr.
Kortiz was moved up to this match to replace Carta Brava Jr. Eterno, who was given the proper WWS belt sometime since Thursday, fouled Bugambilia in desperation for the loss.
4) Apolo Estrada Jr., Avisman, El Hijo del Diablo b Golden Magic, Multifacético, Zumbi
Apolo set up Multifacetico for Diablo’s pin.
5) Angel Blanco Jr., Bestia 666, Cien Caras Jr., Máscara Año 2000 Jr., Oficial 911, Oficial AK47 b Hijo de Pirata Morgan, Máscara Sagrada, Mascara Sagrada Jr., Oficial Rayan, Oficial Spartan, Pirata Morgan
Bestia replaced Solitario. Cien Caras Jr. beat Hijo de Pirata Morgan, which sets up a tag title challenge.

Also, a kid dancing.

Other News

Twitter friend PsicologoLopez has thoughts about Sunday’s Arena Coliseo Guadalajara show, though no results. Always nice to see someone on the Box Y Lucha forum actually go to a show and write about it.

This Sunday’s CMLL show is at Arena Mexico.

LuchaWorld has Alfredo on the IWL tag match posted last week.

Lineups

STONE (FRI) 11/11/2011 Auditorio de Tijuana
1) Extasis vs Colibri, Venum Black, Tony Casanova [mask, hair]
2) Angel Metalico & Bobby Lee vs Black Abyss & Cien Caras Jr.
3) Angel Blanco Jr., El Hijo del Solitario, Hijo de Rey Misterio I vs El Hijo de Aníbal, Hijo de Rey Misterio II, Rayman

Lineup via SML. First meeting of the two Rey Misterio’s (not totally sure I’ve got the sides right, but it seemed to play out that the original is the rudo and the ex-Horus is the tecnico.) Rare Black Abyss sighting; the thing people forget about AAA creating a new Abismo Negro is they probably were planning on making Black Abyss the actual new Abismo Negro at different points, but never pulled the trigger.

CMLL (SUN) 11/13/2011 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) El Divino vs In Memoriam
2) El Alteño & León Blanco vs Gran Kenut & Infierno
3) Meteoro, Shockercito, Último Dragoncito vs Demus 3:16, Pequeño Nitro, Pequeño Warrior
4) Delta, Hijo del Fantasma, Valiente vs Ephesto, Pólvora, Vangelis
5) Máscara Dorada, Shocker, Toscano vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Mr. Águila, Último Guerrero

No carry over from last week. Meteoro’s filled in here as a mini a couple of times, but not sure if he’s ever been purposefully programmed as one.

recap

Tag Team Tournament/Héctor Garza vs Rey Bucanero.

Tournament was okay as far as rushed matches with no particular meaning go. Singles match felt equally are hurried – if you are that tired after a match of a lot of roll ups and two breaks, that doesn’t make me think the match has been tough, it makes me think you’re really not in great shape. I’m not sure why any of this happened nor will I remember it in a week.

I will remember the amazing amount of chyron fails on this show.

(this doesn’t count all the times when rudos had a blue background and tecnicos had a blue)

AULL LUCHA POP (SAT) 11/05/2011 Arena Lopez Mateos [Black Terry Jr. (flickr)Estrellas del Ring]
1) Black Mamba & Vanely b Angel del Misterio & Felina Metalica and Big Mama & Bugambilia del Norte
No Dashuri or Bellali, so Angel del Misterio and Felina Metailca formed a team. Metalica banged her head on the floor on a dive.
2) La Vaquerita b Yuki Star [POP FEMENIL]
Vaquerita kept her title. Keira asked for the next show. Vaquerita agreed, but it’s Keira’s last chance.
3) Centurión, Dinamic Black, Saruman b Boikot, Mr. Leo, Sublime [Discipulo de Oro, quarterfinal]
Team IWRG over Team Super Colt
4) Dante, Iron Love, Tormento b Dragon Negro, Gander, Ztizan [Discipulo de Oro, quarterfinal]
Team Santana/AULL over Team Justiciero
5) Bizarro, Kortiz, Nergo Casasola b Maiden, Sepultura, Super Calo Jr. [Discipulo de Oro, quarterfinal]
Team Villano IV over Team Greco.
6) Keira, Terremoto Negro, Triton b Maligno Negro, Rayito Mendoza, Shark Boy [Discipulo de Oro, quarterfinal]
Team Lucha POP over Team Gallego. Vaquerita replaced Sexi Star as mentor.
7) Dante, Iron Love, Tormento b Centurión, Dinamic Black, Saruman [Discipulo de Oro, semifinal]
Team AULL over Team IWRG when Iron Love stole Saruman’s mask and pinned him. Dante suffered a fractured tibia and fibula on a dive.
8) Bizarro, Kortiz, Negro Casasola b Keira, Terremoto Negro, Triton [Discipulo de Oro, semifinal]
Team Villano over Team Lucha POP. The finals were postponed until the next show due to Dante’s injury; the Villano team beat up the remaining members of the AULL team instead.
9) Zumbi b Argos and Último Gladiador
No Daga. Gladiador and Argos both beat up on Zumbi for a while and tried to settle it among themselves, but Zumbi kept stopping the referee from making the three count. Zumbi finally stole a pin on UG for the win.

Black Terry Jr. already has video up of match 3, match 4, match 6, match 7, and match 8

CMLL (SUN) 11/06/2011 Arena Coliseo [CMLL, La CatedralRecord]
1) Camorra & Zayco b Enrique Vera Jr. & Soberano Jr.
Rudos took 2/3.
2) Arkángel de la Muerte, Hooligan, Puma King b Ángel Azteca Jr., Höruz, Sensei
Rudos took 1/3. Mr. Cacao, watching in the crowd, got into a brawl with Arkangel, Hooligan and Skandalo (who was hanging around backstage) after the match, and lost the 3 on 1 fight.
3) Palacio Negro, Sangre Azteca, Stuka Jr. b Cancerbero, Hijo del Signo, Raziel
Tecnicos took 1/3.
4) Rey Bucanero, Terrible, Texano b Super Porky, Toscano, Valiente
Rudos took 1/3, Terrible powerbombing Rush for the deciding pin. Terrible issued a challenge for Rush’s title.
5) Averno, Mephisto, Mr. Niebla b Atlantis, Héctor Garza, Jushin Lyger
Rudos took 1/3. Atlantis had Niebla in the Atlantida, but Averno & Mephisto made the save and Niebla got the win.

I am intrigued by the idea of a Terrible/Rush match.

Other News

NJPW announced CMLL/NJPW FantasticMania would return for 2012. The shows will be January 23rd and 24th. That’s a Monday and a Tuesday, and the Tuesday show appears to be an afternoon one. I dunno, but it may mean no one misses a Friday night show for the quick trip. This is going to be a tougher sell; it’s the second year, and the two big feuds last year’s shows were built around – Mistico vs Averno and Devitt/Taguchi vs Omega/Ibushi – are likely bigger than anything they have for this year. MaskMania has a list of guys he hopes he gets to see; I want to see Peste Negra in Japan as long as Zacarias get to fly with them. There will likely be a lot of title matches, which means champions are headed over, but good luck guessing who’s going to be champions by then. This surely means CMLL participation on the 01/04 Tokyo Dome show too.

Edit: The shows are actually January 21st and January 22nd, a Saturday and Sunday.

AAA held it’s last preliminary round of the Quien Para Por La Corona talent search contest earlier today in Leon. This is the complete list of finalists, as they’ve been announced:

AAA has not published a full list yet. This is who I have.

06/18 DF: Drastik Boy, Keira, Silencio, Silver Tiger, Blazer, Daga, Freelance (Violento Jack announced as skipping directly to AAA)
07/09 Veracruz: Exorcista Jr., Hijo del Exorcista, Mini Espiritu, Samurai del Sol, Corsario de Fuego, Angel del Misterio
07/31 Guadalajara: La Mágnifica, Cometa, Tony Rodríguez, Spark, Tiger King
08/14 Acapulco: Xtreme Warrior, El Hijo de Black Silver, Príncipe Aéreo, Bryan, Brandon, Alas de Plata, Fetiche
09/04 San Luis Potosi: Aeroboy, Oro Azul, Bogar Jr., Bogar Maligno, Turbo Kid, Sangre de Dragon, Reina Azteca
10/02 Puebla: Dinastía, Violencia Jr., Barbaro I, Sexy Boy, Lucky Boy, Cóncord, Tribal
10/09 Monterrey: Gato Fantasma, Lady Puma, Demencia, Perseus, René Guajardo Jr., Kratos, Psycho
11/06 Leon: Maremoto, Chica Ya Ya, Septimo Dragon, Alrequin, El Gason

That’s a total of 51 luchadors. No word yet on what the next cut down step. This is supposed to have one male, one female and one mini winner, though there seems to only a handful of women and it’s unclear which wrestlers are being classified as mins. This list will probably change a bit by the next step, based on people being unavailable or otherwise occupied.

Not sure if Daga is still in this tournament now that he’s on TV. There’s a number of people here who would previously had some level of relationship with AAA (or have a connection thru someone else) who would probably already be on AAA shows if they had room for a larger roster. Daga’s match was TV match on YouTube a few hours ago, but is off now; the description mentioned his name was changed to “Roco”. Edit: match is now working: part 1 and part 2

SuperLuchas notices the WWS Welterweight Championship Eterno won at IWRG this Thursday wasn’t actually that belt we’ve seen before – it was an Estadio de Mexico championship belt with the letters WWS applied via marker. It means about the same much.

Lucha Libre in Japan

11/06 NJPW: Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Yuji Nagata [O] & Wataru Inoue b  Satoshi Kojima, Strong Man & Tama Tonga [X]

11/05 AJPW: Ozz [O] & Cuervo b Kaz Hayashi [X] & Shuji Kondo [AJPW TAG] – first defense
11/06 AJPW

11/05 AAA TV Results (Ecatepc)

AAA TV (SAT) 11/05/2011 Centro Civico de Ecatepec, EdM [AAA]
1) Argenis, Daga, Relampago b Decnnis, Tigre Cota, Tito Santana
Daga, last seen here as part of team IWRG, replaced Atomic Boy, Tiger Cota replaced Mortiz. Argenis pinned Cota for the win.

After the opener, Joaquin Roldan (w/Mesias, Electroshock, Zorro, Aerostar, Fenix) responded to Octagon and Parka’s reasons for teaming. One of Parka’s reasons had been AAA sending Ozz & Cuervo to Japan to stop them from helping him against the Bizarros, but Roldan pointed out those two had won the AJPW tag team titles. Roldan pointed out Parka could’ve teamed up with any of the other guys in the ring, but Parka refused. Joaquin says AAA will continue to be #1 with or without Parka. Konnan and Dorian came to the ring to mock the Mexican fans for doing the “You can’t see me” and counting in English.

2) Casandro, El Brazo, Pimpinela Escarlata b Nygma, Pasion Kristal, Yuriko
Casandro was announced for this match, then pulled from the match, then wrestled in the match as a surprise. El Brazo wrestled as La Braza. Casandro pinned Nygma for the win.
3) Aerostar, Fenix, Sugi San b Dark Dragon, La Parka, Súper Fly
Sugi reappeared to replace Drago. Parka dominated the tecnicos, but Aerostar got Super Fly with a ‘rana for the win. La Sociedad hit the ring after the match. Konnan talked about Antonio Pena calling Octagon and Konnan first when he decided to call AAA (which is the real story.) Konnan said Pena had promised to one day give Octagon and Konnan shares in the company, but the Roldans never lived up to the promise. Konnan stripped Super Fly of his Milicia leadership for this latest failure, and appointed Octagon as the new leader. Octagon reminded the crowd of his promise to strike back at everyone who’s done his wrong, and ordered the Milicia to destroy Super Fly. They did, utterly massacring Super Fly. Recap notes this is the same building where Super Fly took out Octagon earlier this year.
4) Chessman & Octagón b Dr. Wagner Jr. & Electroshock
LA Park interfered, setting up Chessman sneaking in a foul on Wagner, and Octagon grabbed the pin. The Milicia was out with Octagon and also getting involved in the match.
5) Damián 666 & LA Park b El Mesías & Zorro
Park beat Zorro with a powerbomb. Wagner ran out for Park after the match, Octagon ran out after him, and Zorro made the save. Zorro reaffirmed he’s part of AAA.

Mexico Air Date: 11/19?

The way I have the schedule now, the next two tapings (a week from Monday in Irapuato – which feels like it should be a Domo de la Feria in Leon show and the SLP show) will definitely air before Guerra de Titanes. Not so sure about the Pachuca taping.

Sucks to be Super Fly, but really not that much more than usual. If they actually go some place with the beatdown, that’d be good. If they don’t, Pegasso and Rey Cometa STILL need a partner.

Looks like Octagon is going to be doing the same deal as Konnan; being listed in matches and getting in offense, but using the undercards to take the beatings. If you’re going to have Octagon be a rudo, that’s probably the way it has to go. Kind of odd that Octagon was complaining about being in second matches, and he’s just been picked as leader of a second match faction.

Mascara Dorada keeps his title, Dragon Rojo/Lyger, Panther/Negro, AAA TV

CMLL (FRI) 11/04/2011 Arena Mexico [CMLLLa Catedral]
1) Metálico & Molotov b Rayo Tapatío I & Rayo Tapatío II
Tecnicos took 2/3. Metailco and a Rayo eliminated each other on a double pin spot, and Molotov later cradled the other Rayo while he was arguing a two count.
2) Virus b Dragon Lee [lightning]
Dragon Lee dominated the match, but Virus still beat him for the win, winning in 7:04.
3) Ángel de Oro, Blue Panther, Metro b Negro Casas, Pólvora, Rey Escorpion
Straight falls for a rudo-ish Blue Panther, who snuck in a foul on Negro in the second for the win.
4) Felino, Mr. Águila, Volador Jr. b Rey Bucanero, Terrible, Texano
La Comandante is back accompanying her troops. Volador has been dressed up as the Joker all week. Team evil flying people took falls 1/3, Felino pinning Bucanero after the flying elbow drop.
5) Máscara Dorada b Mephisto [CMLL WELTER]
Dragon Lee was his Dorada’s second. Kahoz, Mephisto’s father, seconded him. Rambo was the DF commissioner, so two-thirds of that trio were back together. Averno and Saul Sanchez, a Pan Am games gold medal winning synchronized diver, also accompanied Mephisto. Mephisto won a super quick first fall via powerbomb, Mascara Dorada won a slightly longer second with a flip into a Toyota roll, and then escaped the Devil’s Wings to put on an armbar for the win. Said to be very good.
6) Dragón Rojo Jr., Mr. Niebla, Último Guerrero b Atlantis, Jushin Lyger, Shocker
Dragon Rojo and Jushin Lyger feuded throughtout the match. Rudos took 1/3, Rojo submitting Lyger with his cavernaria.

Septiembre Negro’s passing was mentioned. They continue to air vignettes for the mystery new wrestler coming soon.

Attendance looks better than last week, but still not good.

Other News

Quick reminder: daylight savings time is in effect in many parts of Mexico, though not in the US. This means webfeeds (and TV networks that air in both countries) are running one hour later than usual. This has troubled me greatly already this week – La Luchas was never actually on any time it was listed, and Ras de Lona either got shifted to another hour or pre-empted by another soccer game – so just keep it in mind.

AAA says that while the their show is returning to it’s main Televisa national broadcast spot on Saturdays, they’ll also be continuing the regional syndication “indefinitely.” That means that, in many places, they’ll have the two hour show going heads up with the commercial-rific forty five minute show. Not sure if this means they’ll have two different edits of the show, or if they’ll have about an hour of very little edited footage on the longer show, and then the same 35 minutes of very clipped up stuff on both shows. We’ll have a better idea after this week, but I’m sure the regional show is the one you’d like to see

Bestia 666 is the first luchador to acknowledge having tried out for WWE last month. Bestia says he’s taking a deal if offered, with the full support of his family and Perro Jr., though it sounds like they’re more likely to keep him in mind and see how far he progresses in the next year. Bestia confirms he was recommended by Rey Misterio Jr., and says they liked his wrestling and his ability to speak English.

El Economista compares the business of CMLL & AAA. There’s not a lot of new info, it’s basically just repeating what the press people tell them without any additional research, but the press people do spin things in interesting ways. AAA hypes up the level of production for the TV shows and PPVs; CMLL focuses on live events and talks as if El Luchador is their only TV show. AAA explains it doesn’ t matter if they made any money on the video game or film, because people will be playing the video game 15 to 20 years later and films are timeless. Uh huh.

There is a fact chart at the end, which says CMLL employs 136 wrestlers and AAA 100. If you take out the Japanese people passing thru (and the indy people still on the list from Arkangel’ s show), and add the couple of girls out on loan to REINA, the CMLL roster here is actually only 1 or 2 off. Missing a lot more people on the AAA side. They list “events per year” as 260 for CMLL and 1000 for AAA, but they’re comparing the CMLL shows they run themselves to any show in the world that brings in AAA. An apples to apples comparison is either 260 to 5 (AAA only runs the major shows totally themselves) or around 1000 to 1000. This year, I’ve counted 421 shows for CMLL and 315 for AAA, though I’m sure I’m missing a lot of both.

If you buy a ticket to the 11/25 Arena Mexico show, you’ll be able to get into the bodybuilding contest the day before for free.

Dinamic Black talks about winning the IWRG lightweight title and defeating Comando Negro. Dinamic Black notes Comando Negro was invincible in 2011. Not so much of late. At least IWRG finally got someone who (appeared) done with the promotion to come back to lose their title. Eterno also talks to Estrellas del Ring about his title win.

El Hijo del Santo thinks he should fight Hijo del Solitario and Angel Blanco Jr. in a three way mask match. He should probably talk to the booker about that, next time he sees him in the mirror.

More Panther/Negro.

That’s Tiffany’s first match since July, out due to her chronic shoulder injury. (She may be the one person I’m missing, now that I see her.) What a nice match for her to return with – her rivals Estrellita and Lady Apache both there to fight.

Castle of Terror, Todos vs Santo, Septiembre Negro

IWRG (THU) 11/03/2011 Arena Naucalpan [Estrellas del Ring]
***Castle of Terror, 2011***
1) Astro de Plata & Centurión b Alan Extreme & Dark Devil Rambo Jr.
Centurion replaced Hijo del Pantera.
2) Astro Rey Jr., Lolita, Mascarita Sagrada 2007 b Mini Psicosis, Picudo Jr., Sexy Star
Lolita replaced Sexy Lady, who worked the Santo show instead.
3) Dinamic Black b Comando Negro [IWRG IC Light]
Dinamic Black won the title. Money was thrown in to th ering.
4) Apolo Estrada Jr. & Oficial AK47 b Eterno & Multifacético
Originally announced as AK47 vs Apolo and Eterno vs Multifacetico where the losers would meetwith mask or hair on the line. Instead, it was a tag match where the losers would put hair, mask or belt on the line. Eterno & Multifacetico lost in straight falls due to internal problems.
5) Eterno b Multifacético [WWS WELTER]
Eterno, with his hair on the line and bleeding, won a one fall match to pick up the title that originally belonged to Hijo del Diablo.
6) King Drako L Carta Brava Jr., Golden Magic, Hijo de LA Park, Hijo de Máscara Año 2000, Machín, Oficial 911, Oficial Spartan, Súper Nova, Zumbi [Castle of Terror]
Ten minute fight before people start to leave. Order of exit was Zumbi, Spartan, Super Nova, Carta Braa Jr., Machin, Hijo de La park and Hijo de Mascara Ano 2000. That left 911, Golden Magic and King Drako. Rudos teamed up on Magic, but 911 betrayed Drako and left him behind. Drako tried to do flying moves against Golden Magic, that backfired, and Golden Magic left to win. King Drako, the least known guy in the cage, is Mateo Alcantara Villafuerte, from DF, 18 years a wrestler. He gave the same name back in 2007 when he was unmasked as as Halcon Salvaje.

Todo x el Todo (THU) 11/03/2011 Gimnasio Juan de la Barrera [MT, Record]
1) Rossy Moreno & Sexy Lady b La Vaquerita & Ludark Shaitan
2) Huracan Ramirez Jr. & Rayman b Angel Blanco Jr. & El Dandy
Angel Blanco used a distraction to foul Huracan Ramirez. Dandy was not happy with his partner.
3) Mascarita Plateada b Octagoncito (original) [WWA MINI]
Mascarita Plateada is the former Mascarita Dorada, who used this name previously on a Santo tour of Europe. He won the WWA title here.
4) Dos Caras Sr., Rayo de Jalisco Jr., Villano IV DCOR Blue Demon Jr., Canek, Cien Caras Jr.
Villano IV did replace the recently ill Villano V. Rudos focused on ripping Rayo’s mask. Rayo and Canek pulled each other’s masks, put the other one on, and were attacked by their opponents. Everyone fought on the outside for the DCO.
5) El Hijo Del Santo DQ El Hijo del Solitario
Santo won the first fall with de a caballo, Solitario took the second in means that are not mentioned. Solitario and his second Angel Blanco both got in shots versus Santo in the third, Santo fought back, and Solitario pulled his mask for the DQ. Challenges all around after the match – Santo will face Angel Blanco Jr. for a Welterweight title (not sure who’s) on 12/15, and Solitario will face Santo in a mask match sometime in 2012.

Enrique said the building was 60% full. I have that as a 10,600 building, which means 6360 people for this show. For a show that’s only been built up by an hour interview show on TVC Deportes, that’s a pretty strong number. (It’s better than the Perros do.) I think they actually explained the Mascarita Dorada -> Mascarita Plateada change on that show, except no one apparently saw or talked about it if they saw it.

Dr. Landru posted video of the women’s match: part 1, part 2

Other News

Fuego en el Ring and SuperLuchas say the original Septiembre Negro, Vick Amezcua, has passed away today. He was 73, still part of lucha libre as part of the Guadalajara lucha commission.

Tonight’s big Arena Mexico match (though not big enough to be the main event) is Mephisto vs Mascara Dorada for Dorada’s CMLL Welterweight Title. In doing an interview to hype tonight’s show, Mascara Dorada notes this is their third match:

2011-08-15     Arena Puebla                  5 of 5: Máscara Dorada b Mephisto [CMLL WELTER]
2011-09-25     Arena Coliseo Guadalajara     5 of 5: Máscara Dorada b Mephisto [CMLL WELTER]

Expect the same result tonight. The actual main event is Shocker/Lyger/Atlantis vs UG/Dragon/Niebla. Deep in the undercard, there’s an interesting Dragon Lee vs Virus lightning match.

AAA has a busy weekend. They’re taping in Ecatepec tomorrow, but also part of the final preliminary Quién pinta para la Corona contest in Leon on Saturday and Sunday. Fabi Apache, Jennifer Blake, Apache, Crazy Boy and Elegido are all scheduled for Leon on Saturday, so they probably won’t be turning up on the taping.

Hijo del Rey Misterio will face Hijo del Rey Misterio in Tijuana on November 13.

Lucha Libre in Japan

11/04 NJPW: [G1 TAG] Minoru Suzuki & Lance Archer [O] b Strong Man & Tama Tonga [X]
team Strong Tonga finishes 1-4, in fifth.

CMLL & REINA announced title matches in Japan. Though, they announced different title matches.

11/23: Yumiko Hotta vs Lady Apache [REINA WOMEN] – new title
11/26: Marcela (c) vs Ayumi [CMLL WOMEN]

Hotta is the most important person in the promotion, which should make the obvious result more obvious. The Marcela/Ayumi title match is actually the main event of Ayumi’s own sixth anniversary show; she held a press conference announcing the show and talking about how it’s been a dream since childhood to win the CMLL Women’s Championship (she cites Reyna Jubukai and Mariko Yoshida.) Seems like a setup for her winning the title.

Lineups

CMLL (TUE) 11/08/2011 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Black Metal vs Evola
2) Hombre Bala Jr. & Super Halcon Jr. vs Mr. Trueno & Rey Trueno
3) Metal Blanco & Palacio Negro vs Puma King & Tiger
4) Princesa Blanca vs Marcela [MEX WOMEN]
5) La Máscara, Máscara Dorada, Máximo vs Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto

Either Marcela is going to unify the titles, or she’s going to lose to the lesser champion just days after winning the world title. I know which is more likely.

Cycnism aside, this looks like a really fun card, probably among the most possible appealing for the type of people who read this blog

IWL (SAT) 11/19/2011 Auditorio Munciipal de La Sexta
4) Los Bizarros vs Los Cerebros
5) Ojo Diabolico vs Kansuke, Latin Star
6) Epidemia & Mr. 450 Hammet vs Daga & Mike Segura

Lineup via here. We’re skipping a taping here; they’re also taping in Irapuato two days prior, and there’s probably some carry over.

Main event is almost the same as the one tomorrow in Ecatepec, but this one has Chessman instead of Damian 666.

I think we need a group promo from the tecnico trio in the semimian. They could be a pretty fun match.

They’ve previously teased the Murder Clown vs Abyss match up on TV. It will be challenging. Figure on a Sociedad vs Psycho Circus match two days prior to built to this.

La Parka as a rudo = still feuding with Los Bizarros. Still figure the Bizarros are turning tecnicos soon.

Future star of AAA Aerostar wrestling in the opener. But then so is Argos.
