I had the main event on while I was working on other stuff and it seemed to be a typical Volador in Puebla match, but the comments on Twitter were more positive than that. I’ll see it tonight.

Valiente is scheduled to return to action tonight in Arena Mexico, exactly one week after being knocked out on his own dive. He teams with Angel de Oro & Niebla Roja against Mephisto, Gran Guerrero, and Ephesto, in a main event which doesn’t suggest much but should be fine.

The ongoing feud is, stunningly, in the mini division opening match. Last week’s match ended in straight falls, with Pequeno Olimpico pulling Angelito’s mask and rolling him up for the win. Neither man is champion – I’ll give you a paragraph to see if you can remember who even is CMLL minis champion at this time – so any feud would be an apuesta one. Pequeno Olimpico is 54 and CMLL’s all but given up on doing anything with the minis; if he’s at all willing to lose his mask and CMLL offered him a payoff, he probably should leap at it. Still, CMLL has given up on the minis, so it’d be mildly shocking if they were even setting up minis mask feuds right now.

Star Jr. versus Virus is the lightning match, one which could be good if they’re motivated. Nothing else seems notable on this show. It streams at 7:30 pm, the last time it will if you’re in the US.

(Shockercito is the minis champion.)

Guadalajara has Caristico, Diamante Azul and Volador versus Cuatrero, Forastero, and Sanson in the main event. Sanson fouled Caristico last week.

Add the Arena Xalapa show on leap day to those who did well this past weekend. It appears to be a full house for the AAA staffed show promoted by Tirantes. He’s promoted occasional shows in the city since leaving CMLL and this was the new promotion’s first anniversary. He had done so with AAA when he was working with them previously.

Don’t add the show in Nayarit. A show in Tepic with Arena Coliseo Guadalajara locals drew poorly, but the promoter told the local paper he plans on trying a second show anyway. Guadalajara referee Loco Estrada was interviewed about his career at the show.

SuperLucha writes about a Jerry Estrada documentary that debuted in Monclova last week. There’s a trailer on Facebook but it doesn’t appear the whole half-hour documentary has been released.

There’s a ringside view of the Villano III Jr. vs Aereo match up here. +LuchaTV is going to put up their show eventually.

This 03/13 Generacion XXI show in Arena Queretaro doesn’t have a notable lineup. It is notable for existing at all; the promotion appears to be continuing after their owner was murdered last month. (No updated on that.) They also ran a small show at their home arena this past weekend.

03/28 The Crash

Prices for the 05/23 AAA Verano de Escandalo show in Morelia are running from 290 to 1150 Mexican Pesos (15-60 USD). It’s a 4,100 seat building.

La Prensa has an interview with luchadora Quimera, who hopes to make it to a big promotion.

+LuchaTV has its weekly podcast. There’s a mention of the next Martinez main event (NGD vs Mascara Purpura, Aereo & Magno.)

LuchaWorld has this week’s Poster-Mania.
