Stephanie Vaquer talks about winning in her Arena Coliseo debut. Sagrado seems very willing to feud to Diamond should CMLL want to do something. Tiger wants more opponents like Drone.

CMLL (SUN) 02/16/2020 Arena México [CMLL, DeLuchaTV]
1) Retro & Robin b Cholo & Yago
tecnicos took 1/3
2) Magia Blanca, Magnus, Súper Astro Jr. b Akuma, Espanto Jr., Nitro
tecnicos took 2/3
3) Black Panther, Star Jr., Volcano b Cancerbero, Raziel, Virus
tecnicos took 1/3
4) Titán TLDRAW Templario [lightning]
10 minute draw, with Templario cutting off a Titan plancha with a dropkick as time expired
5) Hijo del Villano III, Rey Bucanero, Shocker b Diamond, Kráneo, Stuka Jr.
Villano III Jr. replaced Ephesto. Villano III’s first match in about six weeks. Diamond replaced Niebla Roja (injury). Rudos took 2/3.
6) Negro Casas, Terrible, Último Guerrero DQ Atlantis Jr., Carístico, Volador Jr.
Rudos took 1/3. Casas faked a foul from Volador to set up a singles match next week. Atlantis Jr. used Atlantida to take the first fall, which has used in many months.

Promos: Robin (who celebrates 10 years of being in the same spot), Templario (wearing Titan’s mask), Titan (wearing Templario’s mask) and Negro Casas.

Titan and Templario should air next week and sounds as good as usual.

Demonio Maya (Cavernario’s brother) beat Paladin in the end of an Arena Coliseo Guadalajara cage match to unmask him. Paladin is Andrés Niebla Soto, 24, a wrestler for all of one year.

That building happened to have a cage match the same night as Arena Jalisco’s own anniversary show with a mask match. In Arena Jalisco, Hijo del Bucanero Jr. took Destruccion’s mask. Destruction is Ricardo Esqueda Velazco, 23. He seems to have been wrestling since 2016.

There was some lucha libre action at Warrior Wrestling on Saturday. Cavernario & Templario had a good match, though something close to a lightning match. It was smoother than Templario’s previous matches there but not as many crazy spots.  Daga and Jonathan Greshman had a good technical match that seemed to come too late in the show and ended oddly. Aramis & Taurus were eliminated in the first section of the main event, but that section seemed intended to make Aramis come off as an important deal and he did well with it the opportunity.

AAA’s first new TV episode of 2020 is up.

Hijo del Vikingo still wants a rematch with Australian Suicide. Suicide beat Vikingo in a cruiserweight title match two years ago.

The Mexico State Boxing and Lucha Libre commission says they sanction 61 boxing events and 480 lucha libre functions in 2019. It feels like there were a lot more than 480 lucha libre shows in Mexico State (I should count that up this week) and the commission does note there were “many” people running unsanctioned shows, usually without a doctor or an ambulance. There are 13 doctors and 20 officials working with the commission.
