What happened:

Forastero pulled Caristico mask to win, to set up a singles match next week.

The DF rudos walked into the ring right after their match attacking Espiritu Maligno. The rest of the first match just sort of watched instead of helping. The DF rudos had Ola Negra shirts and jackets resembling the ones Espiritu Negro has been wearing for weeks. Policeman and Perverso eventually made the save. This appeared to be to hide Espiritu Maligno working twice.

Thoughts:

Audaz around the post

The main event was so long and sleep-inducing that I needed to rewatch the second fall to make sure I hadn’t missed a transition into a third. It was a nothing match to top off a nothing show. Star Jr. did have good chemistry with Cuatrero. It’s too bad there’s not more coming. It seems like the turnout here has little relation to the main events, but CMLL must feel differently if they have to keep putting Caristico in them.

The tercera match was no more interesting than the rest of the card, though at least the Mascara 2000 fans (who do exist) went home happy. Wish Audaz would put out the ring post headscissors more often. Says something for Universo 2000 Jr. that he was able to do it (and take Audaz’s finish.)

The second match was enjoyable in that it was short and we could all move in on their lives. It’s peculiar to obviously want to get the new act over as a Big Deal and still have them lose the first ll in under two minutes. Trying to make everyone happy doesn’t help get people over, though the Ola Negra guys didn’t do anything different than they’ve been doing in segundas for years. It is hard to imagine this going anywhere.

The second fall of the opener, with Black Tiger overplaying a rudo bit while Asturiano stands blankly, then finishes him with a bad looking spot, is helpful for insomnia. Match seemed to fall apart during the third fall for unclear reasons, though it did let Edgar get in some heel spots. They got it back together until Asturiano and Black Tiger blew their finish as well.
