Pressroom interviews:

A boring show with a lack of creativity in most matches. Audaz & Hijo del Villano III lost track of time; if there wasn’t a count out there, there’s never going to be a countout.

It is possible CMLL has seen the last of Diamante Azul.  He posted a vlog to his YouTube channel explaining he was unintentionally stepped on by Valiente on Sunday. That left Diamante Azul so injured that he will need emergency surgery and is out at least thru 2020. Azul mentions other injuries he’s suffered this year (the groin tear keeping him out the longest) and suggests he may just give up wrestling entirely. It is always more likely a luchador in a prime position will just come back and wrestle at an increasingly diminished level until promoters stop booking him and CMLL’s show no inclination to stop using Azul despite his health issues. Diamante Azul is a top guy by CMLL decision rather than popularity, CMLL’s not going to skip a beat without him and it might be a safer place without him. The irony of Diamante Azul being (nearly) retired due to injury is he’s nearly retired others – from the German suplex on Negro Casas a couple of weeks ago to the shot to the jaw that’s ruined the last couple years of Shocker’s life.

AAA is back on Twitch tonight from Torreon. TripleMania Regia is already set, but AAA also has another major card to announce in Guerra de Titanes. That card is probably coming out next week, and AAA may set up more matches for the show. It’s a good followup to last week’s card. It lacks something as obvious as the four way match, though there’s a trios match not far behind. The show starts at 8 pm local time; that’s about hour two of the AEW PPV.

Dr. Wagner teams with Pagano and Psycho Clown versus Blue Demon Jr., Chessman and Rey Escorpion in the main event. It’ll be the usual brawl, though it features a lot of people in the TripleMania Regia cage match. Aerostar & Monster Clown, also in that cage match, are on opposite sides of the semi-main with Murder Clown, Nicho el Millionario, Killer Kross and Taurus. Nicho is back for the first time since 2016, when he and Familia de Tijuana were in as rudos with Pagano. Kross hasn’t been gone quite that long, yet seems to be back to having no particular purpose with Velasquez seemingly done in AAA.

Poder del Norte have been the most reliably good trios in Mexico this year. They get Octagon Jr., Flamtia and Hijo del Vikingo in a match with high potential. Dinastia, Lady Shani & Nino Hamburgesa take on Arez, La Hiedra, and Villano III Jr. in the tercera; Arez has a long travel day after wrestling in Los Angeles for GCW yesterday. Keyra, Lady Maravilla and Ultimo Maldito team up once again versus Big Mami, Bengala, and a mystery person. That mystery person may end up being Big Mami’s new tag partner. The opener is La Parkita Negra & Mini Psycho Clown vs Mr. Iguana & Dragon Bane, who appears to be back after injury.

This is the first AAA taping in Torreon in 9 years. It’s also the biggest show in Torreon since the passing of Silver King. They may honor him on the show.

Lucha Central has a preview of the show.

On Twitter, Daga claimed he will not be returning to AAA unless it is for a title match: defending his Latin American championship or challenging for the Cruiserweight or Megachampionship. Daga is listed on the Ciudad Juarez show next Sunday in what is not currently listed as a title match.

AztecaDeportes quotes a source close to the luchador as saying La Parka is expected to be transferred to a hospital in Mexico City in the next week in the next step of his recovery.

Fuerza Guerrera told Reforma (via CriterioHidalgo) that he never had that mask match with Octagon because he doesn’t really believe Octagon is on his level. He feels Octagon was just a creation of the media and not really a Fuerza Guerrera level star. Guerrera also explains that when promoters ask to have him face Hijo del Santo, he only agrees if he gets the paid the same amount as Santo since they’d be opponents on an equal level. Fuerza Guerrera doesn’t end up getting many bookings at El Hijo del Santo. (Fuerza & Santo have been in the same match twice since 2013, one of those times in Japan.) This would be just a wild statement if said by others but Fuerza Guerrera is exactly that stubborn.

11/16 MexaWrestling @ Arena San Juan

Rush faces Pagano on 11/21 in Irapuato.

11/23 Martinez Entertainment has Hijo del Santo & Aereo vs Angel Blanco Jr. & Skayde.

Rey Cronos I lost his mask to Alejandro I in Arena Aficion on Tuesday. Rey Cronos I is Federico Soriano, 25 years old, from Hidalgo
