Thoughts:

everyone into the corner

The title match stood out for having more creativity than usual, down to the surprising finish. Gran Guerrero & Niebla Roja had a lot of the tropes of CMLL big matches but did deviate at times. Breaking up the near fall section with another brawl helped the match stay out of a rut. Niebla Roja isn’t as athletic a wrestler as a lot of the tencicos, so figuring out a different way to get people to care is a big help. Gran Guerrero had a typically solid performance. I could’ve used a little bit more here than what we got, but it was still better than the usual CMLL b-show singles match.

NGD versus the tecnicos was an ordinary match ended early with a foul. NGD seemed pretty excited to be there in the first fall but it didn’t carry thru the rest of the match. It is possible for someone besides Forastero to get a DQ on this team I think.

The lightning match almost early when Stuka was a little late kicking out after a small package. It didn’t seem like we would’ve missed out on a bunch for a while, with Templario’s control being mostly uninteresting bowling. Stuka’s moonsault to the floor after that was surprising. That didn’t lead to much either so I’m not sure why he bothered. This is near the low end of what you’d expect for this match.
