The third match was the best match on the show. The women’s match seemed to be good but I was distracted during it. The restaurant was packed for this show, the most people who’ve been there this season. There was a deal on tickets, though I’m not sure if it was that or lots of people wanting to see Psycho Clown.

There are more shows than usual for a Thursday, with the end of October celebrations playing a role.

Cancha quotes a source that La Parka underwent a 12 hour surgery on Tuesday. (There’s a non-pay version here.) He’s expected to need two additional surgeries. There are no specifics about the surgeries, only that Parka was doing as well as could be expected after the first one. The source says it is unlikely La Parka will ever wrestle again, as he’ll need to go thru a long and rehab just to regain his mobility. This seems to go against what Karis said yesterday, though it’s possible the surgery could’ve happened after his statement. Dorian Roldan said AAA would attempt to have a medical update today.

Kawato San posted two photos on Twitter last night, the first time he’s posted on the service in four months. (He had been liking posts for a while.) It appears those photos are from Mexico and recent, since one includes a Dia de Muertos altar. There’s been no mention of him by CMLL since disappearing from cards in early July. The only public report was Kawato was ill and had returned to Japan. Kawato is currently the CMLL Lightweight Champion; CMLL didn’t take the belt away. (They also still haven’t done anything about Dragon Lee and his Welterweight Championship.)

Vampiro posted, then deleted, an all caps message on Facebook saying he couldn’t work the WrestleCade shows he agreed to but also couldn’t find the email of the person who booked him. Vampiro explained he was going to be in Mexico and he was needed for TV and Lucha Capital. Wrestle Cade takes place Friday November 29th to Sunday December 1st. Lucha Captial is on Wednesday. It seems likely Vampiro is now part of TripleMania Regia on December 1st, but it seems like it would be possible for him to be at WrestleCade at least one days. Vampiro has worked for some promotions but it also seems like there’s a fair amount of him canceling shows.

Chandler Hopkins says he’s on the AAA 11/17 Ciudad Juarez taping. I had never heard of Chandler Hopkins before starting this paragraph. He appears to be a Texas wrestler. This reminds me that B-Boy similarly announced he was starting with AAA, was listed on last week’s EMW Tijuana show, and does not appear to have wrestled on the EMW Tijuana show.

Lineups

CMLL (SUN) 11/03/2019 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) El Divino, Fantástico, Mr. Samurai vs Fenetico, Frezzer, Fúnebre
2) Crixus, Luminoso, Paladin vs Bobby Black, Carlo Roggi, Chris Skin
3) Joker, Sádico, Vaquero Jr. vs Difunto, Furia Roja, Guerrero de la Muerte
4) Flash, Gallo, Principe Daniel vs Exterminador, Maléfico, Pepe Aguayo
5) Hechicero vs Satánico

Beyond the Hechicero/Satanico match, Guadalajara is now bringing back Flash and Pepe Aguayo (last match here 2015.) I wonder if there’s some pressure to get the attendance up on Sundays to explain the sudden reliance on older more well-known luchadors or if it’s just friends helping friends.
