Guerrero Maya respects his rival, Princesa Sugehit is back stronger than ever.

That’s the last match for Volador here until the end of the NJPW tour (11/03.) He & Titan may have flown out by the time you read this. We might be getting another Forastero singles match, this time with Niebla Roja.

I uploaded the Soberano/Templario match from last Sunday. HVS Video has a HD version. I haven’t actually had the time to watch it yet, but my impression is it was edited down a lot – reminiscent of a Sombra/Volador match from years past. There’s a lot to be frustrated about CMLL right now, but getting to see so much of it live and uncut is a great deal. CMLL’s TV production, both in editing and simply choosing which matches to air, has been consistently poor and increasingly outdated in the entirety of my time watching the promotion. We’re fortunate that CMLL (and AAA’s) TV choices are irrelevant most of the time.

Satanico beat Solar in their title match in Guadalajara, which was said to go 35 minutes.

I want to GALLI Sunday night. I didn’t jot down the results because – as usual – I didn’t know who half the people were. I think it’s been maybe six months since a saw a GALLI show at their smaller home arena. I was struck that the young guys seemed to have impressed; the matches were overall better. There was a three way tag match with Atomico Jr. & Golden Magic where people who showed promise last time seemed actually really good this time around. There was also a lot of partners breaking up just in time for a big show on the 27th. I went to the show to see Gringo Loco vs Aeroboy in a title match, which turned into Gringo Loco vs Aeroboy vs Mini Charly Manson Chicago Version in a title match. I’m not sure if I’ve seen this Mini Charly in a decade, and he was good considering that, though the match overall wasn’t quite what I was hoping it’d be.

I haven’t gotten full Nacion Lucha Libre results. +LuchaTV didn’t have all of the matches, even with Bernado Guzman apparently being added as announcer here. They did create a new Poder Mexica of Sangre Azteca, Emperador Azteca, and Mexico State luchador Mexica. Emperador & Mexica promptly lost but masks were pulled after the fact so I guess it’s OK. Nacion Lucha Libre apparently announced a 10/31 Queretaro show with LA Park & Rush involved. Nacion wanting to bring in Rush seemed likely as soon as he left CMLL, it was just a question of Nacion being able to afford it and lasting long enough.

Lady Flamer is out of the first episode of Lucha Capital. AAA’s updated the graphic to include Hades instead. Hades has returning wrestling on the indies as Hahastary the last couple of months, though while saying even she doesn’t know her status with AAA. Lady Flammer’s status with AAA might have compromised by also working with The Crash and not being a big enough star with AAA to get away with it, and not bailing on The Crash to work at the BBQ restaurant.

Lineup

Lucha Memes (SUN) 11/03/2019 Auditorio San Pablo Xochimehuacan, Puebla, Puebla
1) King Rocker & Rey Samuray vs Lunatik Extreme & Lunatik Fly and Fulgor I & Fulgor II
2) Rey Apocalipsis & Toro Bill Jr. vs Fly Star & Toxin Boy
3) Tony Iron vs Arez [Battle of Puebla, quarterfinal]
4) Makabre vs Multy [Battle of Puebla, quarterfinal]

8) ? vs ?? [Battle of Puebla, semifinal]
9) ? vs ?? [Battle of Puebla, final]

No idea if this will ever see the light of day. I’d be most interested in seeing Aramis/Malayo. I never think Malayo is good in Arena Puebla but I can write him off forever if he can’t have a good match with Aramis.

Last time I was in Tijuana, there was a conversation about why no one tries to do Tijuana/Mexicali double shots, saving costs on flying in eople by using them twice over a weekend. The explanation was that Mexicali is a dead town for big shows, won’t work whatever people try. Here’s someone trying again, with some really cheap low end tickets. I wouldn’t bet my money on it working. This is listed as taped for TV but I’d also be skeptical of that.
