10:03. Straight falls, Forastero using a mask pull to pin Caristico. Singles match next week.

Caristico & Forastero hype up their singles match, Virus talks about his win. Bonus media interviews: Caristico, Forastero, Kraneo & Volcano.

I actually watched this show last night. I blame it for why I feel tired today. Virus/Audaz or the third match were the best matches but neither felt like something noteworthy. Forastero getting elevated into a regular challenger (even if a title isn’t on the line) is good for CMLL overall even if he hasn’t had a great match yet. It does seem strange he seems to be getting more of those matches than his cousins, but they’re using him in places where he’s going to take the loss and I’m not sure they want that for Sanson & Cuatrero.

CMLL (TUE) 10/01/2019 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [CMLL]
1) Exterminador, Maléfico, Ráfaga b Fugaz, Johnny Dinamo, Principe Daniel
rudos took 2/3.
2) Explosivo, Magia Blanca, Robin DQ Akuma Gran Kenut, Difunto, Espanto Jr.
Espanto unmasked Robin
3) Átomo, Gallito, Microman DQ Chamuel, Guapito, Perico Zacarías
Chamuel unmasked Microman again
4) Ephesto, Luciferno, Mephisto b Blue Panther, Flyer, Stuka Jr.
5) Cavernario, Cuatrero, Sansón DQ Místico, Valiente, Volador Jr.
Cavernario faked a foul to draw a DQ, setting up a match with Volador next week.

Cavernario may be better in his home arena than the last match between those two, but I’m not too hyped. A lot of DQs on this show.

CMLL Informa has Mistico on today, which is previewed as if he’s going to talk about the situation with Rush and Dragon Lee. That does not seem like a fun time for Mistico. It is funny if CMLL’s main concern here is that they didn’t lose another Mistico. Rush’s press conference is scheduled to start about 5:30 pm. I’m not sure if I’m going to be watching either live but check Twitter.

I hadn’t thought about this yet, but I wonder if the “no fathers can face their sons” CMLL rule is effectively dead with La Bestia del Ring gone? CMLL seems less troubled about having Soberano and Euforia wrestle.

Marcela was scheduled to team with her daughter Skadi on Saturday in Gimnasio Hercules for women-focused promotion HUMO. She’s out due to her ankle injury. Stepping in will be Faby Apache. That match is now changed to Faby Apache & Goya Kong versus Skadi & Tiffany.

That’s an AAA luchadora teaming with a Nacion luchadoras against two CMLL luchadoras in Mexico City. A direct confrontation between CMLL & AAA wrestlers is rare, but AAA wrestlers and CMLL ones being on the same card is becoming less so. The Panthers brothers were on the same DTU show as Penta a week ago. Blue Panther Jr. & Eterno were on opposite sides of an Ultimo Dragon show a week prior. +LuchaTV, taking advantage of Penta & Fenix teasing a match with Dragon Lee & Rush on Twitter, posted them actually having that match in July.

I still know Dragon Lee (& Cavernario) were told not to work PWG because CMLL didn’t want them on the same show as Penta & Fenix, but it is a policy haphazardly applied. The women and the Panthers haven’t been and aren’t getting fired for working on a show with AAA wrestlers and violating the rules of CMLL. Some of that is probably ignorance – CMLL doesn’t know all the shows their wrestlers work – but it also points at the other issues between Dragon Lee & CMLL being a big part of what happened.

AAA luchadors were in Guaymas, Sonora on Monday night. Early Tuesday morning, La Parka received a phone call from a man threatening to hurt the luchador and his family if he didn’t follow instructions. A second luchador (from Guayamas) was also called by the same man or people working with him, saying they had the first wrestler and his family, and would not release them without payment of 1,000,000 pesos ($50,500 USD). They called the police and found out everyone was ok, so no money was ever sent. The police are working to find those people trying the extortion scheme.

AAA’s Twitch stream on Saturday is now starting at 20:15, 15 minutes later than had been scheduled. The issue here, as much as it is really is even an issue, is AAA advertises the bell time but doesn’t want to start the stream until after the dark match. The start time gets changed the week of every show as they figure out how much time they need to give the pre-stream stuff.

IWRG posted a photo of their owner (and the president of the PALL group of promotions) Marco Antonio Moreno, meeting with the president of the Red Cross of Naucalpan. The idea is the Red Cross will be providing the promised health care to wrestlers who sign with PALL, while PALL’s 11/20 show will be a benefit for the Red Cross.

LuchaWorld has the latest news update.

Lineups

NLL (SAT) 10/12/2019 Deportivo Ciudad Jardin, Ciudad Nezahualcóyotl, Estado de México
1) Centurion vs Mr. LeoAlas de Oro
2) Heddi Karaoui vs Dual
3) Kong Alvarado vs Reina OscuraHija De GatubelaPrincesa AzulLolita Ángel
4) Galeno Del Mal & Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. vs Emperador Azteca & Séptimo Dragón
5) Sangre Azteca & Súper Nova vs Antheus & Fresero Jr.
6) Brazo De Oro Jr., Hijo De Dos Caras, La Máscara vs Cien Caras Jr., Hijo de Máscara Año 2000, Mr. Electro

Nacion seems to be getting on a regular schedule, though they’re still going to have a week of no new matches unless they air these almost live. This seems to be the 2.0 version; no foreigners, Alberto not even on the poster. This feels like the post-CMLL Elite lineups, which didn’t work out well for them. Elite happens to be running the same night, though that’s about 40 minutes driving away.

Not sure what’s going on with some of the names. It doesn’t appear anyone owns a trademark on Goya Kong to change that, and not sure why Lolita has added Angel (her pre-AAA character).
