Forastero tossed his mask to draw the DQ.

Forastero/Volador seems an unlikely feud but Volador challenged him for next week and Forastero accepted. Volador says he wants to see what Forastero is made of. Audaz talked about his win.

eliminations: Sonic (via Electrico), Halcon Suriano Jr. Electrico, Principe Diamante, Super Astro, Star Jr., Flyer, Hijo del Villano III. Audaz & Kawato advance to next week’s final.
6) Ángel de Oro, Niebla Roja, Volador Jr. b Ephesto, Euforia, Mephisto
tecnicos took 2/3.

Last week’s Euforia/Volador feud was dropped cold, possibly because someone noticed they already had a singles match. Templario is proud of his win over Valiente, which seems like an upset.

Kawato did his post match promo in Spanish. This is exactly how I look when I attempt to speak Spanish, working hard to translate every word in my mind before I say it and speaking very slowly. Audaz is already planning a rematch in Japan; that’s a man who wants to be on FantasticaMania again. (He probably will be if he wins.)

Kawato making it to the final is interesting in the sudden start and end of his feud with Black Panther; perhaps that feud just got changed. Next week is going to be big for both Audaz & Kawato.

Dalys has won her last 7 CMLL matches. Probably more of a surprise that she has lost at some point.

AAA EMW in Tijuana on 07/12 in Auditorio de Tijuana

  • Fantastik, Drake, Adrian Quest vs Kamik-C, Xcalibur, Griff
  • Big Mami, Rayo Star, Tony Casanova vs Keyra, Lady Maravilla, Genio del Aire
  • Maximo, Mamba, Willie Mack, Nino Hamburguesa vs Eddie Edwards, Gringo Loco, Hijo del Medico Asesino, Jonathan
  • Laredo Kid, Hijo del Vikingo vs Black Boy, Arkangel Divino vs Jake Atlas, Douglas James
  • Pagano vs Joe Lider vs Psicosis (I) vs Nick Gage

I thought I had this lineup already so I’d been ignoring the matches and then I realized I was thinking of the last EMW show. We have the same chance of seeing this on video as The Crash shows. Judging from who is left on the poster, the main event looks like Drago, Murder Clown and Psycho Clown versus Texano Jr., Taurus, and Michael Elgin.

KDNA in Monterrey has announced a Vikingo/Laredo Kid rematch for 07/17. A Wednesday night show in Monterrey is very odd, but there’s a reason for that. See the lineups.

The AAA promoter in Aguascaliente says there will be AAA vs AEW match on their 07/18 show. I expect that lineup will be out early next week and that’ll probably set up whatever AEW is doing for TripleMania.

This headline says Demus heads a project that combines tattoos, tennis, and wrestling and there is no way to really explain that.

Warrior Wrestling announced Dragon Lee will be on their newly announced 09/01 show. That’s the Sunday following AEW’s All Out.

Lineups

PWM (SUN) 07/21/2019 Arena Coliseo Monterrey

2) Dragón Bane vs Arez vs Látigo
3) Ayako Hamada & Chik Tormenta vs Star Fire & Taya
4) Hijo de LA Park & LA Park Jr. vs Puma King & Teddy Hart

6) Taurus (Indie) vs LA Park vs Pagano

Pro Wrestling Mexico is a Konnan fronted promotion based in Monterrey. Monterrey is a saturated market; this Sunday’s show was canceled due to the hilariously low amount of tickets sold. That show was comedy/celebrity based, this is a completely different thing, but it shows the challenge. I think people are trying to run Monterrey because they believe there’s a lot of money there, and they might be right, but it can only be split so many ways. This card is good and seems worthy of fan attention but I have no idea how it’ll go.

I suspect the KDNA show is Wednesday to avoid running against this show. It seems to me miraculous that this show, using independent talent on AAA TV and with AAA’s booker in charge, can exist without someone getting upset about it. It doesn’t seem to take much for wrestling promoters to be upset about something typically. I think this is going to be challenging to keep going even if it is a success and I figure someone must be getting paid well to do this for the inevitable headaches that are coming.

No AAA contracted wrestlers are working this show, which would seem to demonstrate Pagano is not under an AAA contract. Star Fire & Ultimo Maldito are two others I would’ve had questions about as well. It is strange that Arkangel Divino & Ultimo Maldito seem to be going different ways at the moment. Pagano’s been teasing leaving AAA a bit. There may not be much stopping him if he truly wants to go.
