UG/Terrible sounds like better than last time, semi-main seems worse, please don’t do another Volador singles match.

Arena Mexico forgot to do a feud last week, so maybe something will come out of Mistico, Titan and Volador versus Felino, Mr. Niebla and Rey Bucanero on tonight’s show. Not sure I really want that. Panthers versus Hijos del Infierno should be fun/weird. Esfinge vs Vangellys will just be weird. Guadalajara has Cavernario vs Rush with zero build or explanation beyond “Caristico had something else to do but somehow no one knew that last week?)

Ovaciones says Metalico will start as a referee tonight in Arena Mexico. That’s a quick turnaround for a guy who was going to get training before he started. Perhaps in real life he has been getting ready for this for a while, but it looks silly for him to announce he’s going to start to become a referee and become one in six days. Metalico is said to be doing the Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday shows. That might be his permanent schedule.

Daga’s side of his fallout with MLW is he was in Guadalajara to attend Fenix’s son’s christening and worked the show as a favor, not because he was skipping out on MLW.

Lineups

CMLL (SAT) 06/22/2019 Arena Coliseo
1) Angelito & Fantasy vs Pequeño Olímpico & Pequeño Violencia
2) Leono, Magia Blanca, Sangre Imperial vs El Coyote, Grako, Sangre Azteca
3) Fuego, Guerrero Maya Jr., Stigma vs Dark Magic, Olímpico, Universo 2000 Jr.

Luciferno used to face CMLL Super Lightweight champion Dragon Lee ever year in the CMLL Universal tournament when he was one third of the national trios champions. The Audaz match seems like foreshadowing.

CMLL is back to calling it the Super Ligero championship if anyone besides me care. Maybe less back than “this is the name they remembered this time” deal.

A lightning match and a cibernetico seems like someone messed up schedule. The cibernetico is described as an eliminator. That means they’ll go to the final two, there won’t be a finish, everyone will boo, and they’re doing the actual title match next week. CMLL listed the people on the poster seemingly based on the internal depth chart though that would mean Kawato is even loser than I would’ve guessed. There’s also a lot of people who could be in this match who are either told old or too big or in Spain with their father and Okumura. It is not especially good for the mix with that many rudos; Flyer and Audaz are the favorites but not exactly the best idea for a match.

2 thoughts to “UG wins (again) in Puebla, Rush/Cavernario tonight in Guadalajara, Lightweght championship eliminator”

  1. I guess most of the CMLL referees had less than six days training. At least, that would explain a lot.

  2. It’s hard to be so skilled at missing everything the heels do. You need lots of practice.
