straight falls, Forastero took Diamante Azul’s mask while in the press slam for the DQ.

Guerrero Maya talks about his win. The main event tecnicos and rudos seem to be setting up a trios title match, though probably not next week.

And this looks like a Rush/Caristico match around the 18th.

I thought Euforia was in the group going to France but that’s wrong since he’s on Informa tonight.

The Best of Super Juniors tournament ended last night. On the odd chance you’re avoiding spoilers, I won’t mention who Dragon Lee will be defending the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship on early Sunday morning (2 AM start Mexico City time), just reminding that he will. Titan and Bandido are listed back in Mexico on cards this weekend so they are finished up. I’d assume DOUKI is the same but not sure.

The Poder del Norte vs Jinetes del Aire match in Arena Cuatro Caminos Monday night was said to be exceptional and surprisingly turned up on YouTube.

IWRG will honor Vampiro for 35 years of wrestling on their 06/16 show. Vampiro being in Naucalpan on June 16th means he’s definitely not at Verano de Escandalo, and we’re so close to dodging the Konnan/Vampiro match at TripleMania. Vampiro’s last IWRG stint had him win the heavyweight title and then retire before losing it. I don’t know if that means he’s wrestling, but I know he’s not losing.

Pentagon Jr. will not be on the AAA TV taping on Sunday in Monterrey. He’s not scheduled there. Here’s working a bar show in Acapulco instead (and NYC w/Fenix on Saturday.) He’s teaming with some people who may be his trainees, but it is still a little strange comparison. Konnan’s been very consistent in saying he believes Pentagon will sign with AAA soon. From an outsider view, it is hard to see why Pentagon would want to commit to AAA if he’s working much smaller shows when he has the option to work both.

+LuchaTV has an interview with Dr. Wagner from a recent AAA TV taping, where Wagner again says he will retire if he loses at TripleMania. He probably has to say it on TV for it to count.

DTU wished Jimmy well on his Dragon Gate tour (starting tomorrow), and implies Flamita is responsible for selecting him. On +LuchaTV’s podcast, both Flamtia & Draztick Boy were sad there were no more Jimmyz in Dragon Gate for Jimmy to team with.

The Crash has a now rare show outside of Tijuana in Tlaxcala on 07/13. It is unlikely anyone outside of Tlaxcala will see it.

Fantasma, in Monclova for a match, said there is nothing to learn from Silver King’s death, just all wrestlers just need to continue to get their medical exams.

A proposal to create a Hidalgo lucha libre commission was introduced yesterday. A similia proposal was made in 2017 but didn’t end up going anywhere. This got a lot of local coverage but no one seems certain if this has any better chance of being passed.

Mascarita Año 2000 is suing a hospital over the medical treatment they gave (and failed to give) to his son, Sangre Nueva Jr., who was taken there three years ago after a bus accident and subsequently passed away.

Lineups

AAA TV (WED) 07/03/2019 Auditorio Miguel Barragan, San Luis Potosí, San Luis Potosí
1) Dinastía & Iron Kid vs Arez & Látigo
2) Golden Magic & Star Fire vs Eterno & Villano III Jr.
3) Drago vs Jack Evans vs Chik Tormenta
4) Puma King & Taya vs Daga & Keyra
5) Hijo Del Vikingo, Laredo Kid, Myzteziz Jr. vs Averno, Chessman, Súper Fly
6) Dr. Wagner Jr., Pagano, Psycho Clown vs Blue Demon Jr., Rey Escorpión, Texano Jr.

This would be the first show after Verano de Escandalo (with a couple of weekends off in between). It will also be the first of two shows that week. The opener looks a lot of fun but you should always be skeptical about the rest. Chik Tormenta in a three-person match and Star Fire being in a match with no other women sticks out as things that’ll obviously change. Good to see Eterno’s appearance was not a one-off.
