Rush took 1/3 (the first in 30 seconds) to win.

The main event sounds like it didn’t go great. Rush bragged about his win, declared he’d also do the same to Niebla Roja if he stepped up.

Shocker is back to missing shows again. He probably missed a good title match to watch.

CMLL has Amapola, Euforia, Gran Guerrero, Soberano, and Negro Casas on Informa today. Before Homenaje a Dos Leyendas, this was the show where they explained they weren’t streaming the show (by not explaining it at all.) Maybe they’ll do better this time. Maybe you should have alternate plans for Friday just in case.

AAA has Starfire and Averno on their own Sin Mascara talks show.

Magia Blanca, Sangre Imperial, and Sonic are participating in a blood drive.

LuchaWorld has the latest edition of the podcast.

Lineups

The Crash (SAT) 06/15/2019 Auditorio de Tijuana, Tijuana, Baja California
1) Black Danger, Miranda Alize, Tiago vs Dinámico, Gringo Loco (Illinois), Lady Flammer
2) Adam Brooks vs El BandidoDragón LeeMatt Taven
3) El Mesías vs Austin Theory
4) Sansón & Trauma I vs Cuatrero & Trauma II [Relevos Increíbles]
5) Ángel de Oro & Rey Horus vs Hijo del Fantasma & Niebla Roja [Relevos Increíbles]
6) Bestia 666 & Penta 0M vs Mecha Wolf 450 & The King [Relevos Increíbles]

There are no names listed so I think I have Miranda Alize right but that’s a guess. Match order is also a total guess; it’s weird to have Matt Taven in for that four-way and have it be the second match, but something here on this loaded card has to be the second match. The immense amount of Relevos Increibles here feels very CMLL.

Fenix & Penta continue their “maybe we’re leaving now, maybe we’re not leaving until later, maybe we’re never leaving at all, maybe we’re not actually making the show, who can say” tour in the main event.

Mephisto & Volador advanced in this tournament.

Thoughts:

Stuka tope

If you managed to skip this show so far, keep with that. Nothing terrible, nothing to see here.

Seven thoughts about the tournament matches, submitted mostly as proof I actually watched them enough to qualify for “ok (whatever)” grades

  • Shocker and Guerrero Maya went to get back in the ring at the same time. Guerrero Maya hits the ropes and come back with a clothesline before Shocker gets thru the ropes.

  • Flyer/Stigma having to follow Cavernario/Casas is quite unfair. Flyer beating Casas with a casita seems wrong.

  • Mr. Niebla doesn’t really need multiple matches.

  • There’s a 25 second moment here where Mephisto waves in Volador in for a double team, Volador gets there but keeps on walking to tell off one set of fans, turns around but goes past them again to tell off another side of fans, and then finally comes back for the double whip. It does not work out for Volador or for anyone.

  • Flyer didn’t botch anything but still stuck out as just not being on the level as the other guys in his semifinal,

  • Stuka’s boot clearing tope on Volador was the best moment of this bracket.

  • Angel de Oro is so fired up for the final that it seems like he cares about winning this, a rarity. It is the only one of the matches where Mephisto & Volador seem half awake.

Rey Samuray trying a between the ropes fosberry flop?
