Straight falls, Terrible got away with a foul on Roja.

I think I was awake long enough to watch the NBA Lottery but not enough to watch this show. LIghtning match sounds good. Terrible and Roja getting another shot seems a decent idea.

Yes, another Volador feud.

Los Ingobernables celebrated their win. Guerrero Maya talked about his win. Rey Bucanero, Shocker and Mr. Niebla brought up how they used to feud with each other. Super Astro was not hurt from the worked injury.

CMLL will have a press conference tomorrow at noon CT. It’ll probably but not definitely stream on their YouTube channel. We’re expecting to get dates for Mascara 2000/Ultimo Guerrero and Kobayashi/Amapola. There are usually other announcements, though there have been no hints of what those might be. I assumed it was Thursday instead of the usual Wednesday so Matt Taven could be in town for it. He won’t be there now and it’ll be interesting if CMLL acknowledges it at all.

Silver King’s body is now expected in Mexico City Friday or Saturday. The funeral will be Torreon, and he’ll be buried next to his father.

Juventud Guerrera posted on Instagram for the first time since Silver King’s death. Guerrera indicates Silver King had a pre-existing health issue that Guerrera was not aware of until after his death. It’s not said what that is. Guerrera’s Super X show on June 1st has been postponed. Both Fantasma & the Torreon lucha libre commission say Silver King passed a medical test in February.

An interview with Satanico has him repeatedly saying he didn’t want to say what he really felt about the Silver King because it would get him in trouble. He does mention he’s in charge of the Box y Lucha commission in Zapopan now and would require more stringent medical conditions than he observed on the video.

Someone was faking being Dr. Wagner Jr. on Facebook to raise money for funeral costs.

Segunda Caida continues looking back at Silver King matches.

Today is Dia de Maestro, which including teaching luchadors. Reporte Indigo interviews Ultimo Guerrero, who says he got into training much earlier than he expected and believes his students (NGD included) will be the top stars of Mexico in the next decade. Puebla’s Black Tiger talks about training Rey Samuray, Toro Bill Jr., Milenium, Malayo, Arkalis, and even Raul Mendoza.

Atlantis & Atlantis Jr. are wrestling in Spain on June 21 & June 22nd. They don’t know exactly who they’re going to face and no city is mentioned, but Atlantis Sr. is staying with his wife a few days for a vacation.

La Parka and Aerostar have been in south Mexico to promote mid-June AAA TV tapings. They’re in Merida today to officially announce Verano de Escandalo. No lineup yet.

SoCal Uncensored pointed out Thunder Rosa is no longer Kobra Moon as of the most recent WOW tapings. She’d been using the Lucha Underground gimmick in the other MGM owned wrestling company for the first season, which was before she sued to get out of her LU contract. It’s not a surprise but another sign of LU being stuffed in a closet.

There’s more news about Killer Kross and his Impact contract situation. It doesn’t directly affect his AAA work except he really needs to keep working in AAA to make some money because amount Impact is probably offering isn’t great.

DragonMania airs on SamuraiTV on June 9th.

LuchaWorld has the latest news update.

  1. I hope I’m not being too cynical, and if Super Astro Jr. was indeed hurt last night, I hope he’s doing ok today. However, that inverted piledriver that Nitro gave S.A. Jr last night looked worked. It looks as if Güero Noriega immediately calls for medical personnel and a stretcher. It almost smells of “See, here in CMLL we handle medical situations immediately “.

  2. Oops, I posted this comment before reading above that Super Astro is not hurt.
