What happened:

Astro armdrag

The main event finish saw Carístico go for La Mistica on Volador, pause, pause for longer, and finally, Mephisto unmasked him to set up a Volador cradle.

Rey Samuray (Jaguar) and Perverso (Policeman) worked as seconds for the match, which started before they got to the ring. Perverso interfered in the second fall but took a Policeman tope by mistake. Policeman was caught using the ropes for pins multiple times. Bestia Negra was distracted by the seconds while King Jaguar fouled Policeman and then faked his own foul. Bestia Negra teased awarding either man the win, then gave it to King Jaguar.

Both women had their belts. Metalica comes thru the crowd to attack Marcela from behind.

Thoughts:

Tyson La Bestia

You could hear the resignation in Julio Cesar Rivera’s voice as he narrated the badly executed finish of the main event. The rest of the match was ordinary – NGD playing técnicos was the only thing that stood out – and nothing worth going out of your way to see.

King Jaguar & Policeman wasn’t really much of a match. Not in that they were bad. They were solid. There were also there for less than ten minutes, which seems absurdly short for a hair match. I’m not sure they could’ve gone much longer, they seemed pretty winded by the end, but maybe that’s why it wasn’t a good idea. More brawling and less just doing wrestling moves would’ve fit the mood better. They did set up the finish with Policeman heating enough that the referee was inclined not to believe him, but this wasn’t much to remember. CMLL started a tease of Perverso/King Jaguar and perhaps that’s still the destination with Perverso the second, but that doesn’t sound like any better use of time.

The lightning match is really quick, though the pre-match attack does give a reason for them to jump to the right to the middle off the match. What they did was a fine enough demonstration of some of their bigger spots, and hopefully there will be more to it next week. The finish looked brutal.

The second match is worth watching if you want to see Magnus’ will slowly slip away the more he has to deal with Tyson La Bestia. Mine too. Samuray has to get higher on his springboard or tighter with his flip if he’s ever going to land that 450. Everyone is dumb for trying to do a stacked up superplex with a terrible wrestler.
