What happened:

Templario’s agility

Último Guerrero snuck in a mask pull on Carístico for a straight fall win. Challenges followed for a singles match next week. There is a detour towards a tease of an extra fall here, which in fact does not happen.

Thoughts:

The main event was a speed rush of a match. I thought it was going much longer just based on how long the video was listed, but I didn’t properly figure how long they could all take after the match. They worked fast for the time they went, which is just enough to mark it as OK.

The lightning match was a strong performance by both men. Rey Cometa looked sharp with his flying and strung a reversal into his finish nicely. Templario did some aerial moves of his own but also showed his strength well and set up Cometa’s move well. This match flew by for a seven-minute match; they could do a lot more with a full-length match.

Angelito

They were trying in the third match. It didn’t really amount to anything for me but I could appreciate the effort. Flyer is a coin flip guy. This was one of those matches where it came up heads and he was fine. It is still a lot of energy to figure out a guy who is obviously not as good as Drone or as over as Fuego.

The opener had some moments. These guys have now worked for so long together that they’re really smooth in sequences, like the Olímpico/Mercurio pinning combination in the first fall on Fantasy. They were much less smooth on the Angelito powerbomb a moment later. He took a hard landing. Angelito has some potential that doesn’t seem to have any hope of being realized in his current position. I don’t know how good he is, but he shows moments of charisma similar to Halcón Suriano.
