(9:45 [4:24, 2:11, 3:10], 2/3, ok)
Carístico Cavernario to a title match next week.
Amapola was eliminated but came back in to dropkick Kobyashi anyway for the DQ.
Volador hit Euforia & Gran Guerrero with a double handspring, they stood there, looked at him, then slowly turned 90 degrees to take the Azul double clothesline spot. Almost no one on this show seemed like they wanted to be there and it was an unpleasurable waste of time for anyone who watched it. If you’re reading this trying to figure out if you should watch it, the answer is no no no definitely not.
The semi-main was short and there was nothing to it beyond the obligatory revenge win. Mr. Niebla was much more over then the guys who just main evented Homnejae a Dos Leyendas, and Titan’s offensive run in the third fall got the biggest reaction. Bestia’s powerbomb is the best you can say for those four, though at least Terrible made it out of this match with two working arms.
Something about Forastero doesn’t totally click in lightning matches. Or I guess in any singles matches since he doesn’t have many singles outside of lightning matches. His matches don’t escalate in ay way, which made it even more out of left field for him to get the clean top rope senton pin. He has a lot of OK offense but doesn’t stand out the way his cousins do. He’ll have another chance next week. Cavernario usually comes thru in big matches.
The tercera had a tripe corner moonsault spot that took forever to set up and also featured Flyer holding up on his own moonsault. Then there were Destroyers. Flyer is a head case at this point and I need Magia Blanca to get healthy and return to take all of his matches. Kawato had some moments of being fine. Audaz had a cool tornillo that wasn’t even close to being caught by Vangellys. Stuka rolled up Pólvora. This was whatever.
The women’s match was whatever. Not sure what happened with Kobayashi and Dalys on that dive. Dalys seemed to take much of the match for his team, which didn’t really add anything. I guess there were occasional hard dropkicks in this match and not much more. A Kaho/Amapola feud is about as random as it can get.
The crowd was quick to boo this match when they were stating out with chain wrestling. On the other hand, it was kind of boring. They escalated to bigger moves than normal for an opener. The pace of this match was still slow and the rudos did little in the second fall. This was fine I guess but I have no interesting in seeing a moment of it again.
