Mr. Niebla (returned from indefinite suspension!) replaced Shocker on Monday. Straight falls. Excessive DQ for the rudos in the first, Dragon Lee beat Mephisto in the second to set up a title match.

CMLL promos: Rey Cometa & Pegasso (how many split Panther masks does Pegasso have?), Black Panther, a Mephisto promo crashed by Mr. Niebla and Mr. Niebla by himself. Mr. Niebla thanked his wife & Paco Alonso for helping him come back to CMLL. My take on Mr. Niebla is he appears to be very orange.

The show sounds otherwise OK. Dragon Lee really should take the CMLL Welterweight championship from Mephisto to move up divisions and finally leave the lightweight title behind. Have him bring both belts to MSG for the visual.

Cavernario replaced Rush earlier in the day. Tecnicos took 2/3, the last when the caveman fouled Caristico. Singles challenges followed.

CMLL is running a lot of title matches from Friday thru Tuesday as part of Homenaje a Dos Leyendas show. No title match in Puebla, but they’re getting something slightly different.

CMLL & the Mexico City government announced a marketing campaign yesterday where luchadors would promote youth sports, as a way to keep the kids off the streets.

Today’s Informa has La Bestia del Ring, Caristico, Volador, Dragon Lee and Diamante Azul. It is one-hour later than usual with the time switch. CMLL might have a reason to finally talk about why King Phoenix & Penta 0M are no longer around. They probably should be talking about whether Friday’s show is on iPPV or not. (Slow ticket sales suggest they shouldn’t be giving an option to watch this one for free.) It is most likely there will be no new information.

AAA has something on Twitch at 5 pm – which again, is one hour later than usual – and I have no idea what it is.

A +LuchaTV video headline has Blue Demon saying he will have an important announcement in May. That sounds like a big deal but, when I actually did the work of listening to the interview, it comes off more like a business partnership sort of announcement (and Demon says maybe April or May.)

LuchaWorld has the return of their podcast.
