weekend indie results, Angel de Oro/Niebla Roja vs Terrible/Bestia in Puebla

I put a lot of indie results in the database that don’t ever get put on this blog. Maybe it is worth putting them on the blog today.

WWCI , XMW (SAT) 02/16/2019 Arena San Juan Pantitlan, Ciudad Nezahualcóyotl, Estado de México
1) Lilith Dark ?? Lady MonsterIndia MazahuaSadik MaidenZafiro (Chihuahua)Reyna DoradaSkadiLady Pink [WWCI WOMEN] Skady vs Reina D vs L Pink vs Lilith D vs Zafiro vs India M vs Sadik Maiden vs Lady Monster (posted by Estrellas del Ring)

Marcela & Mary Apache went to a double pin
3) Demus COR Bam Bam Demus vs Bam Bam mano a mano en la Arena San Juan Pantitlán con XMW (posted by Estrellas del Ring)
Demus beat up Bam Bam on the outside and Bam Bam couldn’t return. Hair match challenge followed.
4) Fly Star & Toscano b Drako & Impulso Toscano y Fly Star vs Impulso y Drako en la Arena San Juan con XMW (posted by Estrellas del Ring)
Fly Star asked for a shot at Impulso’s Cruiserweight belt
5) Último Guerrero DQ Caifan [super libreUltimo Guerrero vs Caifan mano a mano con XMW en la Arena San Juan (posted by Estrellas del Ring)
Caifan fouled UG, and challenged for a hair match.

The main event set up a hair match, as Planchitas reported days in advance. And there were a bunch of people missing from the opener (which didn’t have a result mentioned that I could find yet.) On the other hand, the women in the other match all showed up as scheduled for a draw where no one had to lose. The WWCI promoter was very upset about that article on Facebook, telling people to call the newspaper and demand a retraction. Show didn’t draw well, which I’m guessing he’s probably also blaming on that article but suggests he could’ve used his energy in different ways.

MANIACOMANÍA (SAT) 02/16/2019 Centro de Alto Rendimento The Crash, Ecatepec, Estado de México [Estrellas del Ring]
1) Candy Swing b Guerrera Negra Candy Swing vs la Guerrera Negra mano a mano en Maniacomanía 3 (posted by Estrellas del Ring)

5) Marcela b DalysCinthia Moreno Marcela vs Dalys vs Cinthia Moreno en Maniacomanía 3 en el Car the Crash (posted by Estrellas del Ring)
Marcela submitted Dalys. Money thrown in.

This group got a finish out of that same group.

DTU , PROES (SAT) 02/16/2019 Arena Victoria, Ecatepec, Estado de México [DTU]
1) Corak & Fly Danger b Corazon Latino & Perro De Guerra Jr.
2) Fight Panther, Kunai, Mandala b Aero Panther, Steel Increible Dragón, Vengador Radioactivo
3) Cazador Salvaje I, Cazador Salvaje II, Último Cazador b Maldad, Shaggy, Tormenta Roja
4) Kevin b JitsuKalibus
5) Jimmy b Moria
6) El Junior b Crazy BoyHalloweenDement Extreme
Junior pinned Crazy Boy, who offered him a title shot for winning.

El Junior was one of Los Malkaradios, the evil opposites of Los Nerds. They were a trio, then a tag team, then they were gone, now one is back and is getting a title match. I’m still interested in finding out of Kunai has one really good match or is actually really good.

MDA , Super X (SUN) 02/17/2019 Centro Deportivo Y Cultural, Electricistas, Azcapotzalco, Distrito Federal [+LuchaTV, Estrellas del Ring]
1) Lolita b Ludark Shaitan
Ludark had a foot on the ropes but the ref missed it
2) Superxtar b LátigoAlas De Plata
No Sombra de Plata so this became a three-way. The guy named after the promotion won.
3) Eterno & Tromba b Freelance & Imposible
Tromba replaced Hijo del Fishman. Tromba and Ludark were added to MAD (and Eterno & Hijo del Pirata had been added back at the press conference.)
4) Sinn Bodhi b Demasiado
5) Aero Boy b Aramis
good match
6) Laredo Kid b Dragón Bane
good match. Dragon Bane attacked Laredo Kid after.
7) Hijo de Pirata Morgan & Juventud Guerrera DQ Fuerza Guerrera & Rush
Pirata faked a foul. MAD (which now included Sinn Bodhi) attacked Fuerza Guerrera post-match. Mask/hair match challenges followed, along with Fuerza saying he’d bring in his own group to feud with MAD.

Turnout seemed decent. Konnan and Juvy may not be friends at the moment but Guerrera is borrowing the key booking points (start a group, put every heel in it). This should turn up in some form. Estrellas del Ring seemed to put up the show last night, then took it down, then put up highlights.

RLL (SAT) 02/16/2019 Arena Lopez Mateos [+LuchaTV]
1) Astrolux & Sombra Azteca ?? Black Metal & Drolux
2) Rossy Moreno & Tiffany b Baronessa & Diosa Quetzal
3) Epitafio, Leviatham, Tormento b Dr. Cerebro, Ricky Marvin, Último Gladiador
Leviatham upset Ricky Marvin
4) Virus b Demus [super libre]
5) Emperador Azteca, Silver Tiger, The Tiger b Drako, Fresero Jr., Imposible
Fresero & Drako betrayed each other, giving the other team the win. Garza Jr. ran in post match as part of Kaoz getting involved all night.
6) Místico II & Rush b Bestia 666 & Garza Jr.

Seemed medium full, which is a little bit disappointing. They did a Kaoz Lucha Libre invasion angle on this show; I have trouble believing people care about these things but I’m writing it down here never the less.

IWRG (SUN) 02/17/2019 Arena Naucalpan [+LuchaTV, The Gladiatores]
1) Ángel Estrella Jr. b Chicanito
2) Apolo Estrada Jr., Hip Hop Man, La Mosca b Auzter, Eragón, Yakuza
3) Sinn Bodhi b Pasion Kristal
4) Diablo Jr. & Puma de Oro b Ángel Tormenta, Brazo De Oro Jr., Death Metal, Dranzer, Latino, Neza Kid [El Protector]
5) Ángel Tormenta & Villano V Jr. b Dranzer & Rokambole Jr. [El Protector, quarterfinal]
6) Death Metal & Heddi Karaoui b Latino & Pitbull [El Protector, quarterfinal]
7) Cerebro Negro & Neza Kid b Brazo De Oro Jr. & Hijo de Canis Lupus [El Protector, quarterfinal]
8) Black Terry & Puma de Oro b Diablo Jr. & Zumbi [El Protector, quarterfinal]
9) Death Metal & Heddi Karaoui b Ángel Tormenta & Villano V Jr. [El Protector, semifinal]
10) Cerebro Negro & Neza Kid b Black Terry & Puma de Oro [El Protector, semifinal]
11) Death Metal & Heddi Karaoui b Cerebro Negro & Neza Kid [El Protector, final]

Death Metal & Heddi Karaoui were no one’s picks to wins. It’d be a surprise if they beat the Oficials. Los Villanos attacked Metal & Karaoui for whatever reason after the the win.

There is no consensus on if it is “Angel Tormenta” or “Angel de la Tormenta”.

Tonight’s Arena Puebla always looked interesting for being a rematch of Niebla Roja & Terrible of the CMLL Universal tournament final. It is more interesting with Angel de Oro & La Bestia del Ring, who may also be part of a hair match at Homenaje a Dos Leyendas. There’s a chance that match will be announced tomorrow around noon, and tonight might be the moment where they make it clear. Euforia & Kraneo are also in the match, which will be more interesting for those post match challenges than the match itself.

The match CMLL appeared to be setting up for Puebla itself was Vangellys versus Ultimo Guerrero, based on Guerrero fouling Vangellys next week. That also doesn’t sound too great. Atlantis & Dragon Lee make for an odd team with Vangellys, while UG teams with the Villanos.

Titan, Triton & Stigma against Felino, Tiger & Hechicero is the best chance for a good match. Marcela, Princesa Sugehit and Mystique face Dalys, La Comandante and La Secutora in the second match. Gemelos Panteras & Tyson la Bestia wrestle Tigre Rojo Jr., Rey Samuray and King Jaguar in the opener. The show airs at 9 pm on CMLL’s YouTube channel.

Lucha Azteca AAA will reportedly have a second airing on Azteca’s A+ Sundays at 1 pm, starting March 10th. Not sure if that means those episodes will be the same episode as the Friday show or four weeks behind. A+ is the digital substation which was to get the CMLL/ELITE show last year. Not sure if that means anything as far as the show airing in the US, but it is a reminder that these things sometimes take a while to get going.

Gym FILL (Black Terry) vs Gym Zeuz (Oficial AK47)

They don’t actually list the trainers on the poster this time so I may have gotten my Oficials confused. IWRG also posted a video with Bombero Infernal’s children lucha libre class.

2 thoughts to “weekend indie results, Angel de Oro/Niebla Roja vs Terrible/Bestia in Puebla”

  1. I think the A+ subchannel will be AAA’s weekly home and these episodes on Azteca 7 are just an awareness campaign to bring people to what will be AAA’s real home

AAA is the kind of programming that will attract an audience to a secondary network and might explain why Azteca has been so aggressive for Lucha. They know it works on a niche network.
