What happened:

Sansón ended up injured after taking Diamante Azul’s German suplex. The second fall ended with Diamante Azul possibly trying to German suplex Cuatrero, only Cuatrero had grabbed the top rope. Azul pulled him away from the ropes, though it turned into a sort of rolling reverse cradle where Azul was unable to get over (and Volador actually got the pin.) After the third fall German suplex, Azul seemed unconcerned Sanson’s injury and appeared to stare out of the ring in Cuatrero’s direction instead, which gave the impression it was not an accident. Sansón did not miss any matches.

Dalys unmasked Jarochita in the women’s match.

Thoughts:

strong effort on this clothesline

The main event was a quick match forgettable outside of Diamante Azul’s behavior.

The Blue Panther match had unusual fall endings – a rudo won on the casadora cradle reversal spot instead of a técnico – but the action in between the falls wasn’t special. Esfinge’s tope in the third fall looked good and also good for Zacarias for standing up to Felino.

The lightning match was a normally slow starting Polvoa match building up to an exciting closing stretch. It did not have that exciting closing stretch. Any match Flyer gets out of in one piece is a good Flyer match.

The women’s match may have only gone two falls, but it felt as long as normal. The match pivoted on Jarochita/Dalys sequences, so perhaps CMLL will still be running Dalys single matches even with the belt. Jarochita tried hard given the moment even if not everything looked good; it’d be better if Kobayashi was getting the chance but at least she’s taking it seriously. Though the chance wasn’t serious enough here for her to get any pins on Dalys.

I watched the second match to see what Difunto would do. He didn’t do much. It was a bad idea. He did seem like a decent base, close to being a mildly useful Disturbio (new hair color) then a completely useless Espanto. The CMLL lower card needs more than slight improvements.
