What happened:
Rush ripped off Cuatrero’s mask to set up a match next week.
Thoughts:
The main event was perfectly fine, with both teams showing decent effort. The Munoz even turned out to be the técnicos, or at least técnico enough that the NGD didn’t have to be the técnicos. (They were far more rudo post-match.) It felt a little different than usual rather than someone forced into a position they didn’t fit in to do the same match as always.
Stigma and Soberano & Angel de Oro doing technical wrestling to open the semi-main was good. It was downhill from there. The first fall bit with Volador taking bumps for elbows that were ’t within six inches looked horrendous, though everyone seemed to be avoiding coming close to Vangellys strikes. Volador did play air guitar before doing a dive so there’s something.
Both early matches were better than usual. Arkalis pulled off a headscissors with Siki Osama that I don’t think he tried with anyone else. His powerbomb finisher looks good.
Maybe Sonic is actually good. He had some good mat wrestling, a cool finish, and amusing bumps in the opening match. The final big spot of the match went wrong, but I’m not sure it was his fault or the Pantera he was wrestling. They looked still very much like they could use the work, though at least there’s only two of them now.
