Rush took 2/3.

Main event sounds like it went well, all considering Rush and his schedule. (He’s headed to Guadalajara tonight.) Semi-main is a weird way to get into a Vangellys/Ultimo Guerrero heavyweight title match, but a solution when there aren’t that many tecnico heavyweight for UG to fight.

Tonight’s Arena Mexico main event was announced as Atlantis Jr.’s first-ever Arena Mexico main event. CMLL quietly took him off the show a couple days ago. Diamante Azul moves up to his spot in the main event, teaming with Papa Atlantis & Volador against NGD. Stuka Jr. is added to the show in the semi-main in Azul’s spot, teaming with Blue Panther & Esfinge against Cavernario, Luciferno, and Felino. Both matches should be fine.

Flyer, having survived a recent disaster, gets a lightning match with Polvora. There’s a decent looks women’s match, a segunda with the ex-minis and an opener with the still-minis. The show starts at 7:30 pm and streams on YouTube as usual.

Angel Azteca Jr. suffered a horrific looking knee injury over the weekend in Torreon, and footage of the injury went viral over the last couple of days. Video is embedded in that article. (This is not the Angel Azteca Jr. who was in CMLL, though that guy is still around from time to time.) It’s a worse looking version of what happened to Flyer as far as getting his leg caught in the ropes. Instead of being tossed over, he was going for a Brillo Dorado and slipped enough that his leg trapped and yanked by the reports. It looks like Azteca broke his leg, but the report in the article is it is initially is believed to “only” be ligament damage, with an MRI coming to check for a fracture.

LuchaWorld has this week’s Poster-Mania.

Box Y Lucha 3372 has Terrible on the cover, but I’m most interested in Hechicero continuing his quest to get the Los Infernales name from Satanico, a story which only seems to be happening in the magazine for the moment.

Mascara Divina Jr. took Baby Rock’s hair in Puebla.
