Audaz/Tiger was fun and is worth checking out. Flyer being healthy is good news, though I think he’s probably going to be worse off for messing up that spot so badly.

Raziel & Cancerbero want a shot at tag team titles, as always. Audaz is happy with his win. Guerrero Maya Jr. says he has an Anniversario show coming up.

Team UG took 1/3, the last when UG snuck in a foul on Rush. Rush wants a rematch next week.

Arena Coliseo Guadalajara posted a note reminding their fans that you can see them on Televisa Guadalajara Saturday nights. That’s the show I put up on YouTube when I remember to put it up. (I have it this week but I keep forgetting about it.) There’s no obvious reason why they put up this reminder, though there’s a general “Televisa should replace AAA with CMLL!” sentiment on social media and maybe they’re pointing out they’re already on locally.

It seems unlikely the main CMLL show would end up taking up the Canal Nueve spot. Televisa wanted something that was presented a bit more like ELITE ended up, and I’d guess CMLL wants whatever they’re getting paid from the other small networks they’re on. CMLL also seems disinterested in TV anyway, never really mentioning any of these deals. I bet there are lucha libre people in Guadalajara who had no idea CMLL was on TV there until because it’s never mentioned, and the CMLL Mexico City TV shows only exist as random logos on the background of the Informa set. If Televisa felt they looked bad by losing a property to TV Azteca, they could always just bring back CMLL in that spot, but current management seemed to have no interest in lucha libre.

El Hijo del Santo’s visit to his father’s statue included words about his father and his upcoming trip to Japan. Santo Jr. was not there again this year. Hijo del Santo was asked about his son’s plans for wrestling and Hijo del Santo’s message was that there’s no hurry for his son to wrestle. He’d like him to concentrate on finishing his degree before wrestling and says that’ll be two more years. That seems like a chance. Hijo del Santo seemingly has only wrestled in Mexico the last few years when it’s been an opportunity to get his son some in-ring time, so this is also a sign we won’t see him much. He’s still doing the international trips to Mexico and Japan, where he gets paid and treated well, but I wouldn’t expect much more based off what he said here.

Heavy Metal is going to be teaching free wrestling coaches in Tlalpan starting Wednesday. Metal says he hasn’t retired from wrestling, he’s just focusing on other issues.

LuchaWorld has the latest news update.

8) Metaleón vs Garza Jr.

This show is entitled “New Idols, Creating New Stars” and it stresses me out that I can’t figure out who those New Idols are. All these people are people who are on these shows all the time or are big names being brought in. There are new-ish people in the opener but you’re not exactly going to make them by having them work in match one of eight.

Mexa announced this as the Final Card with Toxin on it, even though they’re running a benefit for Toxin in a few days and he’s definitely not wrestling there. They explained in the comments they’ll have a replacement for Toxin sometime today and hadn’t decided who the other women will be in the match for the new women’s title. This is more “final” in whoever made the poster is not going to redo it again. No one asks why Multifacetico has his “old” name.

Lineup has good matches despite my annoyance.
