What happened:

Nothing!

Thoughts:

sonic is going nowhere but his moonsault is nice

The main event was the usual send the fans home fun b-match at the end of a Tuesday show. The técnicos all did dives, everyone showed a bit of their offense, and the good guys won. That’s actually surprising when it comes to the Chavez brothers, who feel like they’re 1-1000 against various combinations of NGD. Nothing sticks out about this match in particular otherwise but it was a decent time.

The semi-main was a decent action match that didn’t connect with me, despite Hechicero doing some good stuff with Soberano & Titan. It is too bad we can’t just clone him so he could’ve worked with Panther too. Shocker again gamely took some headscissors, and was much more of an asset to the match than Nitro.

Soberano & Hechicero

It’s nice to see Fuego is alive. It’s less nice that he came back for a very routine match. Sagrado did a running to the corner bit during the match and ran like a man who’s has some significant leg issues. Maybe that’s a(nother) reason why he’s not good now. Kawato did not have a good match, though he’s at least got his finisher working better now.

Super Astro Jr. had himself a nice match while not doing much of his father’s spots. He’s really good. The moonsault to the floor looked great, the kick to the face in the corner on Coyote looked not fun for Coyote. Astro is farther alone than Coyote, who almost wiped himself out hitting the ropes on a dive but recovered the rest of the way. Both had promise here. They would benefit from getting more opportunities like this and the lightning matches would benefit from having more young wrestlers in them.
