7) Willie Mack b El MesíasMichael ElginBárbaro Cavernario [THE CRASH HEAVY] The Crash VII Aniversario (posted by +LuchaTV)
vacant title (Rey Mysterio)
8) Bestia 666 b Garza Jr. [hair] The Crash VII Aniversario (posted by +LuchaTV)

+LuchaTV streamed this as a surprise. The stream had similar buffering issues as the CMLL show, but at least it was free and it’s pretty stable during the main event. Bestia & Garza came out as friends for the main event, wrestled like fierce rivals who’d been feuding for months, and were back to friends after the match. The story of the match was Bestia going after Garza’s injured shoulder, and Garza submitting to an armbar. His arm seemed much better after the match. Garza got a lot of his hair cut in the ring and was shaved in the back. The main event, or the many names, or the anniversary aspect did draw one of the better The Crash shows for a while. No next show date was announced.

Fenix and Penta were honored after their tag match, which is a long way from Fenix being seemingly written out of the promotion when he missed one of their shows to work AAA.

CMLL (SAT) 11/03/2018 Arena Coliseo [CMLL]
1) Cholo & Espíritu Negro b Leono & Sonic
rudos took 1/3.
2) Magnus, Príncipe Diamante, Retro b El Coyote, Metálico, Príncipe Odín Jr.

tecnicos took 2/3, the last when Sagrado unmasked Black Panther.
5) Ephesto, Felino, Luciferno b Kráneo, Titán, Volcano
rudos took 1/3.
6) Atlantis, Diamante Azul, Niebla Roja b La Bestia Del Ring, Shocker, Terrible
tecnicos took 2/3

Okumura talks about his win over Fuego. Fuego complaining not getting chances has not gotten him chances.

Ultimo Guerrero beat Corsario Negro Jr. for his hair in the FILLM main event at Arena San Juan. The match was said to be among the best of the year. Both men bled.

Caristico won the (new) Lucha Libre Boom Cruiserweight championship, defeating Dragon Bane at the end. Ricky Marvin and Zumbido had a singles match that sounds like it was worth seeking out.

CMLL (SUN) 11/04/2018 Arena México [CMLL]
1) Angelito & Fantasy b Mercurio & Pequeño Violencia
tecnicos took 2/3.
2) Akuma, Camorra, Súper Astro Jr. DQ Eléctrico, Hijo del Signo, Yago
Akuma replaced Astral, Camorra replaced Metalico and this was turned into a relevos increible to get Yago and Camorra on different sides. Team Yago took 1/3, the last when Camorra fouled and unmasked Yago. Yago challenged him to a match.
3) Black Panther, Drone, Tritón b Disturbio, Tiger, Virus
tecnicos took 2/3.
4) Flyer b Dragón Rojo Jr. [lightning]
Flyer replaced Rey Cometa.
5) Ángel de Oro, Niebla Roja, Valiente DQ Dark Magic, Negro Casas, Rey Bucanero
Straight falls, Bucanero fouled Roja.
6) Carístico, Diamante Azul, Místico b Euforia, Gran Guerrero, Último Guerrero
the power went out in the arena during the main event

CMLL has promos from Flyer (named spelled wrong) and La Catrina & Amotlamini. This didn’t stream after all and might have not been able to stream for the whole show anyway. The power went out during the main event, which wasn’t that big of a change from the Dia de Muertos lightning but still caused the fans to illuminate the ring with cell phone flashlights.

Yago/Camorra in an apuesta match is clearly happening. I guess we can be happy it’s not Signo/Camorra. Bucanero needs to be getting wins on Niebla Roja if that is meant to be a championship feud, so perhaps it’s an apuesta feud as well.

Destructor lost his mask to Avispon Negro Jr. in the Arena Coliseo Guadalajara cage match. (Baron Blanco was the third person out) Destructor is Hector Guardian Mares, 14 years a wrestler. No age is mentioned.

ROH announced Rush will debut for the promotion on their 12/15 TV taping in Philadelphia, the night after their Final Battle show. Rush is working for MLW the days prior. Rush seems to be trying to work a lot more in the US right now.

Lucha Capital episode 2 will have

  • Killer Kross vs Hijo del Vikingo
  • Drago vs Laredo Kid
  • Lady Shani vs Lady Maravilla
  • Maximo vs Aerostar

Those are four good matches. I do wonder how well the show is going to draw without Psycho Clown. The idea was admission would be charged starting this week, but tickets haven’t been announced as of yet.

This leaves Australian Suicide, Fenix, Golden Magic, Mascarita Sagrada, Nino Hamburgeusa, Texano, Keyra, Taya and maybe Scarlett Bordeaux left for week 3. The women have only faced each other so far, which leaves maybe Texano/Fenix, Suicide/Magic and Hamburgesa/Sagrada (of course).

Ultimo Maldito meets Proximo in a mask vs hair match on 11/18 in Tijuana. There’s always the chance Maldito is going to lose that mask now that he’s got a new one, but that doesn’t seem to happen as much with high profile masks as it once did.

Juventud Guerrera says Sinn Bodhi is back in Mexico for the 11/18 IWRG match. Also, he’s in MAD. And Juventud is still in MAD even if he’s not in AAA, I guess.

  1. so “Adam Thornstowe & Luster The Legend” = Reno Scum, so they dd show – clearly in the ring on the video

  2. Also, Damian 666 and Roberto Figueroa insisted that Adam and Luster for some reason ,were european and never were aware that they are Reno Scum….even, as far i can remember,, Damian has worked shows were this team was booked.,,,

  3. Thanks. This was one of those times where I read one thing that was missing a detail, read another thing that corrected it, and only remembered to do half the correction.

  4. This Ultimo Guerrero vs. Corsario Negro Jr. Match was really awesome. Definitely one of the greatest matches this year imo. The whole show was really really enjoyable. I loved the dystopian look of the arena, but to be honest, I’ve never heard of FILLM before. Are they doing a lot of shows?

  5. They’ve done a decent amount of shows since early last year. They’ve only been in this venue since August.

  6. Ah, thanks a lot for the info. I really fell in love with the location, so hopefully there will be show-streams from there in the near future.
