Volador missing this show is pretty notable since seeing him bald seems like the big draw.

Rush snuck in a foul on LA Park. He told the crowd they weren’t important enough to get the LA Park/Rush match.

Main event was said to be among the best matches in Puebla this year, with the crowd being excited for LA Park/Rush. Attendance was up  though they’ve been strong all summer. The streaming numbers were very up from usual.

Luminoso took Alteno’s hair in Arena Coliseo Guadalajara on Sunday. Vaquero & Rielero kept the Occidente Tag Titles on the same show.

Esfinge will join Virus as CMLL reps on the 11/25 FunkumenMania show.

Mesias hit Electro with a chain to get the win.

Maybe they’re going somewhere with the Chico Che win. But it is IWRG.

I attended PWG’s Battle of Los Angeles over the weekend. It was fantastic, getting better each day. Bandido advanced the farthest out of the traditional lucha libre group, ending as the runner-up to Jeff Cobb. Bandido was personally outstanding in the tournament, with his best performance coming in that final. Bandido was as good as any person in the tournament, but the unique thing about Bandido is how much that particular crowd loved him. Bandido was that BOLA’s audience favorite son. Partly because he was an easy to root for babyface, but he also felt like he was a specifically PWG guy in a tournament of all-stars. Bandido being unknown by most in the US before he started in PWG might have actually helped him with that crowd, because it makes it feel like they made him and they’re more invested in him. Jeff Cobb won the tournament and was great, but it felt like Bandido came out of it as the biggest star for the people who were there. I’m interested in how this is going to play out when it gets released on video.

A 12/08 AAA TV taping was announced at the Xalapa AAA show this past Sunday. LA Park, Fenix, and Penta are announced, as well as Psycho Clown & Pagano.

La Parka told the press at one of the Hard Rock shows that two of his sons – 18 & 19 years old – told him now that they want to be wrestlers and may debut in a couple of years. He said this is the first time he’s mentioned it and plans to hold on long enough to team with them.

The Gladiatores has results from the two days of Impact tapings. Laredo Kid, Hijo del Vikingo, Aerostar, Keyra, Murder Clown, and Maximo appeared on that day’s of tapings, along with Faby Apache on both days. I’ve seen very little on the Friday show elsewhere, and the pictures indicate they drew very poorly.

Chicago’s AAW announced LA Park will be in on their 10/26 show. LA Park has worked Chicago many times, but only on lucha libre shows – this is a generally different audience who might have not seen him in person since WCW. AAW also officially announced Dragon Lee is off of their tournament in a couple weeks (because of Extalon).

Blue Demon Jr. has a new deal with a production company Moxie 88 for possible TV, film, and video game projects. None of those has been officially announced as happening as of yet.

Vice Canada has a video on why Fenix wears a mask, which is apparently only watchable in Canada.

Grafico has a report on the Expo Museo Lucha Libre. So does the Gladiatores. So does SuperLuchas.

Segunda Caida reviews Lucha Underground 4×4. and some recent lucha.

LuchaWorld has Saturday’s news updatesand Tuesday’s news update, this week’s Poster-Mania.

Lucha Talk talks about the CMLL Aniversario show.

+LuchaTV has the latest edition of their podcast.

Criterio Hidalgo visits a children’s lucha libre class.

Sinn Bodhi is a freak show styled wrestler based in Las Vegas who was briefly in WWE as Kizarny. He’s brought in luchadors for his show and is starting to get some return bookings. He also is tagging me in photo posts on Twitter a very annoying amount. Fifth match looks great and sixth match should give a sense on how good Cuervo & Scoria are gong to be post-AAA.
