Gym FILL (Black Terry) vs Gym Zaetas del Ring (Freelance) in a rematch. Team IWRG got the win this time.

IWRG midweek shows aren’t getting much attention of late – results for this one didn’t turn up until Saturday. I blame myself.

CMLL (SAT) 07/28/2018 Arena Coliseo [CMLL]
1) Bengala & Retro b Apocalipsis & Inquisidor
tecnicos took 2/3
2) Espanto Jr., Hijo del Signo, Príncipe Odín Jr. b Arkalis, Príncipe Diamante, Robin
Rudos took 1/3.
3) Disturbio, Universo 2000 Jr., Virus b Drone, El Audaz, Stigma
Rudos took 2/3.
4) Flyer, Valiente, Volador Jr. b Ephesto, Luciferno, Máscara Año 2000
tecnicos took 2/3
5) Diamante Azul DQ Shocker
Shocker faked an injury in the first fall and beat Diamante. Diamante took fall 2. Shocker got in a foul on Diamante Azul, but was caught and DQed. Shocker challenged Diamante Azul to a cage match.

Diamante Azul and Shocker followed up with promos post-match. Atlantis versus Fuerza Guerrera is a match better idea than Diamante Azul versus Shocker.

2) Cancerbero, Metálico, Nitro b Astral, Eléctrico, Oro Jr.

Rey Cometa asked for bigger matches, probably isn’t getting them. Semimain seems to be setting up the third Dragon Lee/Cavernaro match on a Sunday this year, though there’s at least a chance this could air on NJPW World.

A Negro Casas 40th Anniversary promo is up. With fireworks.

AAA TV (SUN) 07/29/2018 Centro Civico Nueva Aragon, Ecatepec, Estado de México [AAA, Lucha Central]
1) Astrolux, Lady Maravilla, Vanilla b Keyra, Látigo, Starfire

5) Averno, Chessman, Súper Fly b Hijo del Fantasma, Juventud Guerrera, Taurus
14:15. Fantasma Thrill of the Hunt on Averno after Hijo del Tirantes stopped a Devil’s Wings attempt.
6) La Parka, Pagano, Psycho Clown b Killer Kross, Rey Escorpión, Texano Jr.
19:12. La Parka replaced Dr. Wagner. Psycho Clown beat Rey Escorpion with a torito after Murder Clown, Hijo del Fantasma, Juventud Guerrera and Jack Evans all got involved. Fantasma unmasked Psycho and Murder post match.

Matches 1/2/4 are good, but 2 wasn’t nearly as good I was hoping and nothing was on the level of the great stuff on the other shows. Fantasma may have joined MAD, that’s about all to note that happened. I would say this is not a show you need to go out of your way to watch, but it’s also a show you currently cannot watch it: it went missing from AAA’s Twitch VOD library somewhere around an hour after the show ended. It didn’t have any major technical errors, so I would guess it’s a more an issue on the Twitch side. Still,  there’s no telling when anthing is airing on TV so it may be a while before anyone sees this one.

Recap coming tomorrow.

There’s a viral lucha libre video this weekend of a woman taking an unexpected chair shot to the head and going into convulsions. The incident took place in Ciudad Juarez’s Arena San Antonio last Friday. The woman’s name is La Enigmatica, who was working as a valet. The wrestler hitting her with the chair is Black Skeller. On Facebook, Juarez’s Zafiro posted a photo of Engimatica in a hospital bed and said she’d be selling her own gear to raise money for the medical treatment.
