Atlantis exhibit, Mysterio, AAA in Aguascalientes, Rebelion vs Munoz

There are more bits honoring Atlantis this weekend.  An exhibit dedicated to Atlantis’ 35th Anniversario will be unveiled today at 2 pm at Metro Guerrero in Mexico City. CMLL will also be offering a package of a poster, shirt, mask, and a photo of with Atlantis on Friday for 700 MXP ($37.23 USD). Atlantis is interviewed in Record, where he mentions he hopes of being in another Anniversario main. That’s a good topic for Friday.

The WON has an update on the Rey Mysterio situation: he and WWE are close enough to a deal that they’re discussing which shows he’s already agreed to elsewhere and which ones of those he’s willing to drop. The newsletter specifically mentions Rey as wanting to come back to The Crash to drop the heavyweight championship (assumed to be to Bestia) as well as working All In.

The newsletter also mentions Ultimo Ninja and Garza Jr. were planned to be in NXT already, only there were issues with work visa. Months ago, I was told that ColiseMania would be their last major date in Mexico. That show didn’t happen, and they’re still listed on lineups thru the end of the month. (Scroll down a little bit.) Visa issues would explain it, but it doesn’t seem like they’re moments away from leaving.

WWE is giving “exclusive” stories to media outlets to reveal participants in the upcoming Mae Young Classic over the last couple days. I don’t know it’s happening for a fact, but it seems to me it’s likely idea a place like MedioTiempo and Record might have their own name to announce in the next few days.

Fenix says he’s agreed to more dates with CMLL. That seemed likely when he defeated Cavernario, but LA Park is still insisting he has not been offered more dates.

Rey Bucanero wants him and Shocker to feud with Klan Kaoz, and a straight-up hair match on The Chris.

Lector 24 interviews Mistico, mostly about his sometimes feud with Carisitco.

Superluchas interviews Mesias about his career, to promote his match with Ultimo Guerrero on Saturday in Morelos.

CMLL (TUE) 07/17/2018 Arena México
1) Angelito & Fantasy vs Pequeño Olímpico & Pequeño Violencia
2) Astral, Eléctrico, Starman vs Cancerbero, Metálico, Sangre Azteca
3) El Audaz, Fuego, Pegasso vs Disturbio, Puma, Tiger
4) Black Panther, Blue Panther, Blue Panther Jr. vs Ephesto, Luciferno, Templario
5) Niebla Roja © vs Sansón [CMLL LH]
4th defense
6) Ángel de Oro, Atlantis, Soberano Jr. vs Cuatrero, Forastero, Rey Bucanero

So it is indeed an Angel de Oro vs Cuatrero on Monday in a title match, and then the other two brothers in a title match on Tuesday. As usual, the midcard matches could be.

Cancerbero is still on his own. Raziel is gone for five weeks when most people seem to be suspended for three weeks for a minor/first time issue. Maybe there’s more going on.

2) Arkángel Divino, Genio del Aire, Último Maldito vs Black Danger, Black Destiny, Mirage
3) Angelikal, Astrolux, Hijo Del Vikingo vs Carta Brava Jr., Mocho Cota Jr., Tito Santana
4) Aerostar, Drago, Vanilla vs Bandido, Chik Tormenta, Flamita
5) Argenis, La Máscara, Máximo vs Hijo de LA Park, Monsther Clown, Murder Clown
6) Averno, Chessman, Súper Fly vs Juventud Guerrera, Killer Kross, Taurus
7) Pagano & Psycho Clown vs LA Park & Pentagón Jr.

This appears to be Penta’s his first match on AAA TV in 559 days. Some people have longer layoffs than other. 3 & 4 should be good. 2 is the same six guys as in Tijuana, though there’s a couple of people on the wrong side. We might have a better idea if any of these matches mean anything after tomorrow’s taping, but it appears to have a lot of the ELITE people.

Maybe they’re waiting for AAA/ELITE week to explain what the deal is with the other TV.

Also, they would prefer fans avoid having sex in the women’s bathroom after someone did on the last show.

Generacion XXI/Tortas Super Astro at Arena Queretaro on 08/15 will have Penta 0M, Phoenix, and Daga vs Rush, Dragon Lee and Mistico. Dragon Lee had previously mentioned that he wanted to do the Munoz vs Lucha Brothers match in Arena Mexico but it might happen elsewhere due to scheduling. They’ve added Daga & Mistico to make that work on a Wednesday night. It might turn up, at least in +LuchaTV highlights.

Ovaciones talks to Averno & Chessman, who’d be open to facing CMLL wrestlers.

  1. Both Garza Jr & Ultimo Ninja Have Both Been Announced For A Show Here In El Paso On August 5th

  2. So I’m wondering the following regarding Garza Jr & Ultimo Ninja based off of them still having bookings for awhile. Are they still expected to go to NXT and this is just a case of deals usually taking longer to complete for international recruits due to visas? Or are there snags and they’re not going any time soon?

  3. They’re expected to go to NXT and it’s said to be taking longer because of their visas. WWE probably also has to make sure Garza’s shoulder is OK before they bring him aboard.
