This wasn’t much good. Rush/Kraneo is coming in some form next week, though Terrible getting actively involved may make it something other than a singles match. The one thing I found out is Puebla updated the poster this weekend to replace Sauron with Asturiano, so we’ll never find out what that was about.

Today’s Arena Mexico show isn’t much better. The main event seems to be setting up Stuka/Ultimo Guerrero title match next week. Caristico, Niebla Roja, Mr. Niebla and Shocker will also be in the match. It’s Shocker’s first match in CMLL in a month, though he’s been been listed as wrestling outside matches on the time. The story is Shocker’s jaw was re-injured, which doesn’t quite fit with those other matches.

Blue Panther teams with Titan and Triton against Ephesto, Luciferno and Mephisto in the best hope for a good match on this show. Polvora and Sagrado meet in a lightning match of two rudos who can be good with an interesting tecnico but maybe not on their own. La Maligna makes her first stream appearance since January, teaming with Estrellita & Sugehit against Dalys, La Metalica and Zeuxis. Yago is in the second match, which is about all good I can say about the second match. Espiritu Maligno makes his first CMLL appearance this year, teaming with Cholo versus Retro and the guy who hurt Maligno back in December, Sangre Imperial.

CMLL previews this show, as does Lucha Central. It’ll air 8:30pm.

Today is Mexico’s day for teachers. CMLL posted a message honoring their teachers: Tony Salazar, Virus, Franco Colombo, Ultimo Guerrero, Arturo Beristain, Arkangel and Ultimo Dragoncito. I can’t recall seeing Ultimo Dragoncito mentioned as training CMLL luchadors before; that’s been Pierrothito’s spot.

In an interview building up his participation in the Best of Super Juniors, Dragon Lee says he’s 100% and has doubled his training to be ready for the tournament.

La Presna has an interview with Princesa Sugehit.

Ayako Hamada was arrested for stimulant drug possession and fired from the WAVE promotion in Japan. The promotion says they fire anyone who’s been arrested, though they believe it was a one time use. A report on the arrest says Hamada admitted to the offense and it was something she sniffed thru her nose. Japan has strict drug laws, so Hamada is in significant trouble.

In an interview with Super Luchas, Blue Demon Jr. says a third generation Blue Demon “is being prepared”. There are no other details.

Reina Isis & La Jarochita, still in Japan, will face Mia Yim & Hikari Shimizu on 05/17 for J@ST.

Rey Tormenta Jr. took Orion’s mask in Arena Aficion. Orion is Edwin Jonathan Lemus, from Pachuca, two years a wrestler.

Mexa Wrestilng’s next show is June 9th.

Martinez Entertainment has added Gringo Loco & Sam Adonis vs Arez & Low Rider to their 06/15 show.

Arena Pavillon del Norte on 06/16 has Volador vs Caristico vs Mistico.

LuchaWorld has this week’s Poster-Mania, and the latest news update.

+LuchaTV has a new edition of their podcast.

Puma & Barby’s latest video has them visiting Acapulco.

Hey, there’s a Wednesday show this week. The early matches are all veterans versus rookies, which is an interesting way to mix it up.

Full card for a show that’s been advertised for a while. There’s not a great chance we’ll see these matches – Estrellas del Ring sometimes posts Saltillo matches. It’s more notable that AAA’s taping for the same day in Tehuacan is still heavily surprise wrestlers, and probably won’t be these wrestlers. Parka Negra promoted that show on Twitter despite not actually being listed on it at the moment, which suggests he’s one of the surprise wrestlers.
