1) Avisman b Eragón
2) Ángel o Demonio & Ovett b Alas de Acero & Iron Kid
goodmatch
3) Fresero Jr. & Mr. Iguana b Arez & Low Rider
Low Rider took a bump off the canvas roof, and was hurt.
4) Último Gladiador b Aramis
good match
5) Corsario Negro & Drako b Aeroboy & Demasiado
good match
6) Romano García b Keyra
7) Virus b Súper Crazy

I think the idea of the Low Rider bump was he was going to fall off the low roof onto chairs. He totally missed the chairs. I’m not sure the chairs would’ve helped. Low Rider is crazy, hope he’s OK.

Show sounds good but there wasn’t one singular match people were raving about after. With everything going on around Iguana and Memes and vetos, I was surprised to see him win on this show.

IWRG (SUN) 05/13/2018 Arena Naucalpan [+LuchaTV, The Gladiatores]
1) Power Bull b Arquero
2) Atomic Star & Leroy b Shadow Boy & Toto
Shadow Boy betrayed Toto. Atomic Boy invited Shadow Boy to join the rudos.
3) Black Dragón, Dinamic Black, Dragón Fly b Dragón Bane, Gallo Frances, Lunatic Xtreme
Gallo Frances betrayed Lunatic Xtreme (so the sons of Ovett had partners attack them in two straight matches)
4) Aramis, Hijo de Canis Lupus, Hijo de Sangre Chicana b Apolo Estrada Jr., Eterno, Ovett
Hijo de Sangre Chicana made his debut, replacing The Tiger.
5) Freelance, Ricky Marvin, Súper Mega b Oficial 911, Oficial AK47, Oficial Fierro
many fouls leading to the finish.
6) Emperador Azteca & Imposible b Trauma I & Trauma II
straight falls in a “polemica” result – excessive violence or a countout depending on the recap.

Main event might be setting up the return of Negro Navarro for a trios title match.

Today’s Puebla show seems not so great. Maybe the main event will be good, but it’s not a promising lineup otherwise. The semimain, a rematch of a not good match last week, looks particularly not good. The end product will probably be a Rush/Kraneo match on 05/21, but today’s match is a waste of time.

This is about the time of year where this building starts building a local feud for a July apuesta match. They’ve been lately doled out as a reward for long service, not as something that might be an interesting match. 2015 had Lestat/King Jaguar, 2016 had Black Tiger/King Jaguar, 2017 was Espiritu Maligno/Ares. Espiritu was flipped over to the tecnico side to make that feud worked (and flipped back to the rudo side when it was done), which makes it especially noteworthy that Sauron is suddenly listed as a tecnico in the second match. He’s been a rudo in this building for a decade, so either the likes of Lestat & Tigre Rojo Jr. were surprisingly unavailable tonight, or something is up.

Angel de Oro, Niebla Roja & Mistico versus Cuatrero, Sanson and Mephisto has the best chance of being good, though random trios main events don’t have a great track record in Puebla. Amapola, La Comandante and La Seductora take on Marcela, Princesa Sugehit, and Lady Maravilla in a women’s match. Maravilla is scheduled to appear, and the indications are she’s staying in CMLL at the moment. The show opens with Astro, Black Tiger & Meyer taking on Ares, Perverso and Rey Apocalipsis.

Lucha Central has a preview of this show. It’ll air at 9pm, but you may want to watch it later on YouTube.

+Lucha has a sit down interview with Imposible.
