Champions took falls 2/3 in their third defense.

I saw about five minutes of this show. Main event seemed good. They’re still doing a lot of Kraneo/Rush feuding.

CMLL pushes tonight’s show as a possible new Ola Azul, a reference to a trio of blue wrestlers that’s had many combinations. Atlantis, Lizmark and Mr. Niebla are the ones I think off for that group. Tonight, it’s Atlantis, Diamante Azul and Stuka against Ultimo Guerrero, Gran Guerrero and Niebla. Kraneo teams with Blue Panther and Soberano Jr. against Terrible, Rey Bucanero and Okumura in the semifinal.

Kawato San gets his first his singles match in CMLL tonight, taking on Tiger in a rudo/rudo battle. Audaz and Virus are on opposite sides of the tercera, with Guerrero Maya, Rey Cometa, Puma and Sagrado in what looks like the best match of the night.

The woen’s match is listed as Dalys, Seductora and Metlaica versus Lady Maravilla, La Guerrera, and Mistik. This is the first time Lady Maravilla’s been the tecnica with the most CMLL tenure on a team: La Guerrera has only appeared once before in Arena Coliseo, and “Mistik” appears to be debuting indie luchadora Mystique. Leono & Bengala take on Cholo & Apocalipsis.

CultIcon previews this show. It’ll air at 7:30pm on YouTube.

Guadalajara has Mistico, Rush & Volador versus Cavernario, Euforia, and Negro Casas. The one to watch is the semimain, where the Esfinge, Titan and Triton trio reunite to face Dragon Rojo, Polvora and Hechicero. They did an Esfinge/Hechicero finish last week.

CMLL’s updated the lineups for the weekend. Dragon Lee is no longer teaming with Audaz. Kraneo will replace him. Dragon Lee transparently couldn’t win the block because he’s in Japan the following week, but this is probably him taking the night off rather than risk injury before his trip to Japan. He was also scheduled on the preliminary lineup for Sunday’s show, where Angel de Oro is now. The semifinal trios match is now the main event trios match, which seems to guarantee it won’t be much of a match.

Also, Valiente is off Saturday’s card. Stuka moves up to the main event to replace him, and Guerrero Maya takes the empty space in the semimain.

CMLL is billing Principe Diamante, Astral, Star Jr. & Audaz as hanging out with fans in the Freedoms restaurant as part of a Mother’s Day promotion on Friday. Hard to figure out how they’re going to do that while being in the tournament.

Sam Adonis says he’s on great terms with CMLL, he’s just really busy selling out arenas and representing the promotion elsewhere right now. Later on, he says he doesn’t have any dates scheduled with CMLL right now. This reminds me a lot of when Rey Escorpion jumped to ELITE, did interviews saying he was still really with CMLL, and then never worked for CMLL again. Adonis and Johnny Idol haven’t appeared on a CMLL show in a month. Adonis says he’s going to Japan in November.

CMLL looks back at La Sombra and Dragon Rojo winning the Gran Alternativa.

Texano & Rey Escorpion kept the AAA tag titles in Arena Neza on Saturday.

Maximo & La Mascara talk up their AAA involvement and matches, say they’ve left people open mouthed. They mean in a good way.

+LuchaTV has the latest edition of their podcast, and a video interview with Rey Fenix

Puma King & Rey Fenix went bowling.

LuchaWorld has the latest Lucha Report and this week’s Poster-Mania.

An interview with Coahuila luchador Guerrero Negro III.

Talisman Jr. talks about his many tattoos.

A more interesting show. This is another building where they just need to install a couple cameras and save everyone the trouble of posting five differently edited versions of a match. Maine vent, third match jump out to me.
