Today is the actual Kid’s Day in Mexico, though many shows took place over the last couple of days. CMLL celebrates the day with th, eir usual Monday night show with a usual Monday night lineup for the most part.

The main event is Terrible teaming with the tag team champions Valiente & Volador against Caristico, Kraneo and Ultimo Guerrero. This the third week in a row for this type of match and the second week with these particular sides, so there’s a decent chance they might finally make a match out of it. Last week teased Ultimo Guerrero/Volador, but they’re prone to changing their direction quickly in Puebla.

The other Guerreros team with Rey Bucanero against Atlantis, Diamante Azul and Rush. Fuego, Guerrero Maya and Stigma take on Dragon Rojo, Polvora and Templario, where they’re teasing the idea of Templario joining Los Revolucionarios full time.

The tercera is a minis tag match which doesn’t include Microman, a rarity. Gallito instead teams with newcomer Angel to take on Guapito and Atomo. The first two matches are more normal: Flyer & Pegasso take on locals Perverso & Fuerza Chicana, and Asturiano & Millenium against Ares & Sombra Diabolika to open the show.

This airs at the normal 9pm start time. Tomorrow is a holiday, so I guess the children can stay up late. CultIcon previews the show.

There are still a lot of shows today, much more than usual for a Monday, because of Kid’s Day. Beyond the Puebla show, the most interesting one is the Generaction 21 show in Irapuato, which has a Park vs Wagner making event and a Hijo de LA Park/Bandido/Flamita/Xtreme Tiger four way match. Their clips usually make it to +LuchaTV’s channel.

There hasn’t been as many posters this year for Kid’s Day, but I’m running across more news stories of small outdoor free shows (often sponsored by politicians leading into the next election.) Canelo Casas wrestled on one in Cuernavaca. The PRI candidate for Mexico City mayor drew 4,200 people for an AAA staffed show. Someone wrestled as Mr. Familia on that show (and won, of course.) In Juarez, Cobra Kid list his mask to Aereo in a cage match on an AAA house show. Given the people announced (La Parka, Pagano, Villano III Jr., Drago, Hijo del Impostor), Cobra Kid seemed like the likely loser. He’s Luis Rodriguez, 7 years a wrestler, from Torreon.

RIOT has Riotmania on 05/26 in Arena LLF

This show looks good.

Kawato’s hair is now blue-ish.

The 2017 Angelico vs Penta vs Fenix vs Emil Sitoci match from WXW is up on YouTube to watch for free for the next two days..

+LuchaTV interviews Kraneo.

Lineups

CMLL (SAT) 05/05/2018 Arena Coliseo
1) Acero & Aéreo vs Pequeño Nitro & Pequeño Olímpico

Very much a show. There are some pieces that don’t work together in the semimain. Disturbio in the third match means there’s a good chance the match makes the Princesa Dorada channel.

2) Astral, Eléctrico, Leono vs Cancerbero, Raziel, Sangre Azteca

Leono moving all the way up to the second match! I’m ok with CMLL not airing this one.
