Lucha Brothers worked as Rudos but the crowd was still rooting for them over the Octagons. They took the Octagons masks after the match.

Estrellas del Ring has video of the post match. They drew pretty well for a Wednesday show, but the kind of fans who are going on a Wednesday night for a wrestling show are not really wanting to see Octagon do Octagon things.

A documentary on lucha libre debuts on Mexico City’s Canal 22 next Monday at 8:30pm. It’s five episodes of half hour each, which looks like it focuses on CMLL. The channel has been promoting it for the last weeks. The opening and a teaser for the series are on Vimeo. Canal 22 does stream online, but it’s content is blocked outside of Mexico.

AAA has an interview with Ashley, who explains she’s putting up with Faby Apache’s meanness because Ashley knows she needs to get better as a luchadoras and there’s no one better to learn from than Faby Apache. Ashley doesn’t like being berated in front of the people or Estrella Divina stealing her wins, but she thinks this is how she’ll learn better.

AAA also posted a video of Faby Apache teaming with Dr. Wagner & Psycho Clown as a surprise in last year’s trip to Tijuana, wondering what surprises might have this year.

+Lucha posted videos of Alberto and Rey Mysterio Jr. saying they’ll be in Monterrey for Sunday’s Revolucha show. Alberto actually appeared on NacionESPN yesterday, to promote Comabtes Americas. I listened to the podcast and his dismissal from Impact did not come up.

PWInsider says Rey Mysterio Jr. will be part of WWE’s 04/27 show in Saudi Arabia. They’re not sure if there’s anything more than it. Mysterio has wanted a deal where he would work only occasionally for WWE and have some freedom, so agreeing to just a single big show would fit with that and may mean he’s closer to getting that deal.

Lucha Underground Season 3 starts on in Japan tomorrow.

Segunda Caida and Lucha Central have thoughts about The Crash show.

Lucha Central posted the Rey Horus vs Matt Sydal vs Sami Callihan vs Lio Rush match from The Crash’s 06/23/17 show. I had that as a Great match via handheld.

LuchaWorld has the latest news update including a recap of Informa.

Lucha Libre Xalapena interviews local luchador Diamante Rojo Jr.

Niebla Roja appears under a mask in a new drink commerical for France.

Lineups

CMLL (TUE) 04/17/2018 Arena México
1) Acero & Aéreo vs Pequeño Universo 2000 & Pequeño Violencia
2) Eléctrico, Magnus, Robin vs Cancerbero, Metálico, Raziel
3) Audaz, Star Jr., Súper Astro Jr. vs Disturbio, Universo 2000 Jr., Virus
4) Drone, Esfinge, Tritón vs Kawato San, Okumura, Sagrado
5) Flyer vs Magia Blanca [torneo nuevo valores, final]
6) Carístico, Dragón Lee, Soberano Jr. vs Euforia, Gran Guerrero, Rey Bucanero

The winner of the Flyer/Magia Blanca Torneo Nuevo Valores final will get a shot at the CMLL Welterweight (Mephisto) or Mexico Welterweight (Soberano) championship. That seems like a Mephisto title match.

Super Astro Jr. jumping into the tercera seems unfair to those who aren’t even getting booked, but maybe we should wait for a card where Flyer & Magia Blanca aren’t getting a single match to see if it sticks.

CMLL (TUE) 04/17/2018 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Bengala, Pantera Blanca, Star Black vs Gemelo Blanco I, Gemelo Blanco II, Príncipe Odín Jr.
2) Micro, Shockercito, Stukita vs Mercurio, Pierrothito, Relámpago Azul
3) Blue Panther Jr., Guerrero Maya Jr., The Panther vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Hechicero, Pólvora
4) Ángel de Oro, Diamante Azul, Niebla Roja vs Ephesto, Luciferno, Mephisto
5) Valiente & Volador Jr. © vs Cavernario & Negro Casas [CMLL TAG]
first defense

Tag title match will probably settle as fun. Tercera could be quite good; the tercera seems to get more TV time than the main event.

LuchaMemes CaraLucha (SUN) 04/22/2018 Coliseo Coacalco, Coacalco, Estado de México
1) Estrella De Oro & Príncipe Areo vs Apolo & Dragón Negro
2) Torito Negro, Toro Negro II, Toro Negro Jr. vs Alas de Acero, Aramis, Demasiado
3) Fly Warrior, Sky Man, Toxin, Yoruba vs Corsario Negro Jr., Drako, Fresero Jr., Gato De Ecatepec
4) Eterno vs Iron Kid
5) Andy Boy, Danger King, Guerrero Mixtico vs Arez, Belial, Impulso
6) Templario © vs Dr. Cerebro [CaraLucha The Best]
7) Cavernario vs Ricky Marvin

The Ricky Marvin Redemption Tour continues with a match against the caveman. The top half of this card is promising.
