RIOT No Sabes Quien, CMLL/ELITE

RIOT (SAT) 02/03/2018 Arena Femenil, Monterrey, Nuevo León[LuchaMania Monterrey]
1) Byron & Kaientai b Azrael & Muerte Extrema
2) Caifan II b Furor
money thrown in
3) Erick Ortiz b Dralion
4) Kratoz b KamikazeMr. IguanaArezJack Evans
Please Don’t Dive Invitational #2. Sammy Guevera, who was scheduled for the show but injured, worked as special ring announcer for this show (and referee & beer seller for this show.) Sammy bragged he’d beaten everyone in the match (except Iguana, who he didn’t even know what was) and wanted a dance challenge instead. Sammy’s dance was interrupted by the surprise appearance of Jack Evans. Evans outdanced Sammy and then superkicked him. Everyone dove. Jack looked like he was going to win until Sammy pulled him out and superkicked him. Kratos beat Kamikaze.
5) Último Ninja b Low RiderLaredo Kid
Laredo Kid got the win on Low Rider after he leaped into a double RKO.

This was the show where nothing was announced besides Guevera. It looked like it drew about normal and those who came were happy with the show. At some point, this show may be on Powerbomb.TV.

JVDA Photography has one two photo montages of this show.

CMLL put a full press release about yesterday’s media event.  One item that jumped out me as how Domingos Elite is being positioned as run by a combination of Elite, CMLL and Azteca. Elite appeared to be simply tenants last time around, and business partners this time. Maybe that’ll keep them sustainable for a longer period of time.

ESTO talked to Golden Magic, who says he was one of the first person brought aboard ELITE before they were even running shows.

In an “only in Mexico” thing, Ultimo Guerrero & Gran Guerrero face Cibernetico & Sharly Rockstar in the main event of the ELITE return show, then Ultimo Guerrero & Gran Guerrero face Electroshock & Sharly Rockstar about two hours later in Arena Neza.

CMLL has a recap of Puma’s post-FantasticaMania matches in Japan. Atlantis was talking on Facebook as I write this.

HIjo del Vikingo wants to make a mark in AAA by winning the cruiserweight title this Friday.

Fantasma & Texano were guests on Zona Ruda.

Asterisco Jr. and Perfil were awarded tecnico and rudo luchador in Arena Coliseo Reynosa. Mascara Roja Jr. & Hijo were tag team of the year.

Michinoku Pro’s Daichi Sasaki is headed to Mexico at the end of March.

Masked Republic tee shirts are now available on Uwartees.

Lucha Sorpresa talks about good matches from the last week or so.

Lucha Talk has a new episode.

LuchaWorld has the latest Lucha Report.

Segunda Caida watches Black Terry & Negro Navarro versus Satanico & Blue Panther.

Lineups

IWRG (SUN) 02/11/2018 Arena Naucalpan
1) Full Contact vs Skanda
2) Alas de Acero & Haziel vs Fandango & Odín
3) Aramis & Hijo del Alebrije vs Eterno & Lunatic Xtreme
4) Emperador Azteca © vs Cerebro Negro [IWRG IC WELTER]
5th defense (last two were scheduled in small Oaxaca shows which may or may not have happened.)
5) Ovett, Trauma I, Trauma II vs Hijo del Pantera, Internacional Pantera, Pantera I
6) Danny Casas, Hijo De Dos Caras, Imposible vs Dr. Cerebro, El Hijo del Medico Asesino, Máscara Año 2000 Jr.
7) Black Dragón vs Spartan [hair]

Both the people in the main event have lost their masks, who will hit rock bottom?

4 & 5 pick up the feuds from a couple weekend ago. Third mach could be good if it makes air. Medico Asesino must be sad about missing out on the Elite return so far.

CMLL (SUN) 02/11/2018 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Amperaje vs El Jabali
2) Mr. Ángel & Último Ángel vs Frentico & Paymon
3) Tigre Blanco © vs Thunder Boy [SINALOA WELTER]
2nd defense
4) Gran Kenut & León Blanco © vs Black Sugar & Neutrón [SINALOA TAG]
new name for the Pacific Coast tag titles?
5) Vaquero Jr. vs MetatrónMagnumMágicoExplosivoJokerRáfagaFuria RojaDifuntoFrezzer [Copa Guadalajara]

A quite busy show for a Sunday Guadlajara show. Frentico is a new name here; there’s one in Xalapa. Jabali is a new name and an old one; there was a Jabali here in late 50s and early 60s.

CMLL (TUE) 02/13/2018 Arena México
1) Acero & Aéreo vs Pequeño Nitro & Pequeño Olímpico
2) Astral, Eléctrico, Flyer vs Akuma, Hijo del Signo, Templario
3) Audaz, Blue Panther Jr., The Panther vs Misterioso Jr., Sagrado, Virus
4) Marcela vs Princesa Sugehit [lightning]
5) Blue Panther, Guerrero Maya Jr., Stuka Jr. vs Hechicero, Johnny Idol, Okumura
6) Marco Corleone, Titán, Valiente vs Cavernario, Mephisto, Mr. Niebla

Marcela & Princesa Sugehit is an interesting match. They’ve had four singles matches, all were title matches, and Marcela won every single time. It should set up another title match if she wins.

More Audaz/Virus. Could that be a secondary Homenaje a Dos Leyendas match? It’s happening at some point.

CMLL (TUE) 02/13/2018 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Black Sugar & Star Black vs Maléfico & Relámpago Azul
2) Explosivo, Magia Blanca, Robin vs El Coyote, Grako, Guerrero de la Muerte
3) Esfinge, Pegasso, Rey Cometa vs Cancerbero, Disturbio, Raziel
4) Ángel de Oro, Niebla Roja, Soberano Jr. vs Ephesto, Luciferno, Pierroth
5) Diamante Azul, Mistico, Rush vs Rey Bucanero, Shocker, Terrible

They seemed to be setting up Ultimo Guerrero & Volador here. Neither are back this week.
