Hip Hop Man is involved in everything. I could see IWRG actually doing the 4 mask vs 4 hair match. Something’s coming soon, because Castillo del Terror is coming up.
Today’s CMLL main event has Caristico, Volador and Mistico on the same side. Last week, Mistico and Volador betrayed Caristico. That was build for for the Leyenda de Plata match, and tonight will be a good indication if CMLL plans to continue that storyline or if it was just a one week bit. Cavernario, Mephisto and Kraneo are the oddball trio opposing them, but this one looks mostly about the tecnico side.
The rest of the show is a very regular show. Tuesday lightning matches are no sure bets, but a lightning match here would’ve broken up some ordinary tag matches. Angel de Oro, Niebla Roja and Diamante Azul face Hechciero, Terrible and Vangellys, in what now is a preview of the heavyweight title match on Sunday. The Panthers & Drone wrestling Misterioso, Sagrado and Polvora, where Misterioso will once again take a mask. Astral, Espiritu Negro & Robin take on Arkangel, Malayo and Rey Apocalipsis, and Black Tiger, Meyer, Paris face Ares, King Jaguar and Sombra Dibaolica in the opener. The show airs on CMLL’s YouTube at 9pm.
Dragon Lee & Titan lost to Hiromu Takahashi & BUSHI in NJPW’s Super Junior Tag Team tournament. That was expected, but it sounds like they had a pretty good match (and got to main event!) They’re still on the NJPW tour thru 11/05.
Yesterday’s show in Mazatlan’s Cancha German Evers was canceled during the show. The show drew less than 200 people, the promoter had no money to pay for all the name talent he brought in, and they came out to say they wouldn’t be wrestling. Charly Manson & Garza Jr. vs Electroshock & Zorro was scheduled to main event. (Garza Jr. was there, but in a shoulder brace, so who knows.) The promoter says he’ll refund tickets today.
A new group called FWR says they’re running Orlando, Florida on 02/10 with Psycho Clown, Hijo del Fantasma, Pagano, Texano Jr., Drago and Rey Horuz. The rest of the crew is people in from Puerto Rico.
