Leyenda de Plata field, CMLL sets up one title match then announces another

XXX (FRI) 10/06/2017 Arena Naucalpan [+LuchaTV]
2) Golden & Súper Brazo Jr. b Broken Clown & Terremoto Negro
3) Mini Rey Misterio DQ PentagoncitoBlack Shadito
foul led to DQ
4) Dollar L OrientalVillano III Jr.TiagoGrond XXXBlack TaurusSharly RockstarHijo del Lizmark [mask, hair]
Arez distracted Dollar (who wasn’t scheduled in the match) into losing to Black Taurus.

Show drew almost no one with little promotion. It also didn’t reward the people who did show up, with every match changed from what was advertised and the loser of the main event being someone who had was not announced and was the least important person in the main event.

CMLL (SAT) 10/07/2017 Arena Coliseo [CMLL]
1) Camorra & Espíritu Negro b Bengala & Sensei
2) Artillero, Espanto Jr., Inquisidor b Fiero, Magia Blanca, Retro
rudos took 1/3.
3) El Gallito, El Guapito, Microman b Chamuel, Mije, Perico Zakarías
Chico Temido debuted as a referee. Guapito’s match debut with a win.
4) Amapola, Dalys, Reyna Isis b Lady Maravilla, Marcela, Sanely
Rudas took 2/3
5) Rey Bucanero, Sam Adonis, Shocker b Ángel de Oro, Niebla Roja, Soberano Jr.
straight fall win, setting up a Rey Bucanero/Angel de Oro title match
6) Dragón Lee, Valiente, Volador Jr. b Euforia, Gran Guerrero, Último Guerrero
tecnicos took 2/3

The micros got over well. The semimain makes no sense.

Fresero Jr. took (promoter) Fantasma de la Opera’s hair at the Lucha Libre Boom show on Saturday. Negro Casas faked a foul from Volador Volador fouled Negro Casas, giving Mistico, Casas and Octagon the win over Caristico, Fuerza Guerrera and Volador. Carsitico actually got to do his one fall more with Msitico, which shows how much more freedom he’s got on these shows. Mistico and Caristico did promos building up a match, which is possible for Lucha Libre Boom but unlikely in cCMLL.

CMLL (SUN) 10/08/2017 Arena México
1) Apocalipsis & Cholo b Bengala & Magnus
Rudos took 1/3.
2) Pegasso, Robin, Stigma b Cancerbero, Raziel, Sangre Azteca
tecnicos took 2/3

4) Marco Corleone, Stuka Jr., Valiente b Kráneo, Olímpico, Pólvora
tecnicos took 2/3
5) Euforia, Gran Guerrero, Último Guerrero b Ángel de Oro, Mistico, Niebla Roja

like all the CMLL shows this week, just a normal show.

AAA put up this week’s TV show, the first of the two Hard Rock Hotel shows. Their first show in Tokyo is finishing up as I write this, and the World Cup takes place early Tuesday morning.

NJPW’s King of Pro Wrestling show happens early this morning. Either at it, or in the next few days, they will be announcing their annual single elimination junior tag team tournament. CMLL talent is expected to be involved in that, as happens most times.

LuchaWorld has the latest news update.

Lucha Underground posted a Taya promo for this week’s last luchadora standing match with Sexy Star. There’d normally be a Sexy Star promo too and there probably was one done, but LU’s cut down the Sexy Star content after TripleMania.

FStoppers talks to lucha libre photographer Jerry Villagrana.

CMLL (FRI) 10/13/2017 Arena México
1) Drone & Esfinge vs Cancerbero & Raziel
2) Ángel de Oro, Niebla Roja, Stuka Jr. vs Gran Guerrero, Luciferno, Rey Bucanero
3) Valiente vs Pierroth [lightning]
4) Diamante Azul, Kráneo, Marco Corleone vs Euforia, Rush, Último Guerrero
5) Carístico vs MephistoMisticoCavernarioVolador Jr.Negro CasasDragón LeeSansónSoberano Jr.ForasteroGuerrero Maya Jr.VirusTitánPumaThe PantherTiger [Leyenda de Plata]

That Leyenda de Plata match has a great group of people and could be one of CMLL’s best matches of the year. Worth noting that The Panther’s promo for this said this was the start of the Leyenda de Plata, which possibly means this is a ciberentico where the final two advance to a singles match next week. CMLL may explain the rules later.

CMLL (SAT) 10/14/2017 Arena México
1) Angelito & Fantasy vs Pequeño Olímpico & Pequeño Violencia
2) Magia Blanca, Príncipe Diamante, Starman vs Camorra, Hijo del Signo, Metálico
3) Blue Panther, Blue Panther Jr., Drone vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Misterioso Jr., Pólvora
4) Ángel de Oro, Soberano Jr., Valiente vs Hechicero, Negro Casas, Shocker
5) Niebla Roja © vs Rey Bucanero [CMLL LH]

That’s the wrong brother, CMLL. This would suggest the Cavernario/Niebla Roja match might be changing (or it might be one of those weeks where the same guy wrestles multiple singles matches.) Niebla Roja is a vulnerable champion and Bucanero winning the title once again is not out of the question, as crazy as that would be.

The last thee times tag champs Casas & Shocker have teamed up, one of their opponents got pulled from the card, one of them missed the show, and an earthquake canceled the show.

CMLL (SUN) 10/15/2017 Arena México
1) Príncipe Diamante & Sensei vs Cholo & Espanto Jr.
2) Flyer, Magnus, Robin vs Akuma, Canelo Casas, Warrior Steel
3) Fuego, Guerrero Maya Jr., The Panther vs Disturbio, Universo 2000 Jr., Virus
4) Niebla Roja, Rey Cometa, Soberano Jr. vs Hechicero, Shocker, Vangellys
5) Carístico, Valiente, Volador Jr. vs Cavernario, Mephisto, Último Guerrero

A Sunday show. Warrior Steel is back again – but then, Canelo Casas is listed, and he hasn’t succesfully shown up on a CMLL show since August.

DTU (SUN) 10/15/2017 Centro Cívico de Tulpetlac, Ecatepec, Estado de México
1) Maldad vs Gran TitánFuerza MarinaEstigma
2) Drolux, Irving, Kingston, The Black Jr. vs Billy, Erwing, Hard Boy, Toto
3) Sombra Azteca & Tormenta De Fuego vs Cobra Imperial & Infierno Negro
4) Drastik Boy vs CobreLokilloJimmy
5) Camuflaje & Junior © vs Corsario Negro Jr. & Drako [DTU NEXO]
6) Hormiga © vs Moria [DTU AI]
7) Halloween © vs Ovett [DTU CONSAGRADO]
8) Cíclope vs Crazy KingDr. Pólux Jr.Súper Mega [DTU CHAMP, #1 Contenders]

DTU’s all championship matches show doesn’t have the main title defended, as that’s in GCW now. Ciclope has also been in GCW, and figures to be the contender.

They’ll have also a tryout at the show, for their talent search contest where someone gets a trip to Dragon Gate.
