What happened:
Mistico thought he had the match won with a La Mistica, but Tirantes tapped him on the shoulder because UG had the ropes, not for the win. UG then used the ropes for a winning cradle.
Sangre Azteca hurt his right knee on his finish, but left on his own power.
Thoughts:
Último Guerrero & Mistico was solid and uninspired, the usual playing of the greatest hits album. In a way, it’s more disappointing for Mistico. UG is what he is, but while Mistico seems to have gotten better and sharper, he’s still missing that blow out performance of a match to announce him as an upper level wrestler. He did some neat things, but nothing more than you’d see from a trios, and he didn’t show another gear here. It’s Tuesday, it may not have been the extra gear day, so not giving up hope. Fans are still digging the UG formula, even if I trouble appreciating it.
Negro Casas with this group of Peste Negra just makes me want to see Negro Casas against the tecnicos and nothing else. There wasn’t a lot else here, and there sure was a lot walking on the finish. Everyone kept it to the basics.
This Dinamitas/Panther match didn’t have as much craziness as their Friday matches, but they still worked effectively together. It was plenty enough for a good match if not a great one. I like how the NGD can easily switch from being one team of rudos all working the same way to being three individuals when it’s the time for that. Finish was super creative and well done.
The tercera was the usual fast paced cat match. Tiger seemed like he had more bigger moments than usual, especially looking sharp in the first couple falls. Puma also broke out a German suplex he usually doesn’t do.
