Octagon returns to CMLL tonight in Arena Puebla. CMLL’s finally acknowledged it with an update; they note people didn’t believe this was true. That’s caused a little bit by CMLL not really talking about Octagon until now; he wasn’t mentioned on Informa, he wasn’t sent out for interviews, he hasn’t on any other shows. By the standards of a star returning to the company for the first time in 25 years, this has been handled strangely – it makes me wonder if there’s a chance this is just some sort of trial run before CMLL goes all in on Octagon. I dunno.
Octagon teams with Mistico & Volador to face Ultimo Guerrero, Gran Guerrero and Kojima. It’s the only notable thing on a pretty blah card. Sam Adonis & Blue Panther revisit their rivalry with Johnny Idol, Valiente, Cavenario and Mr. Niebla. Angel de Oro, Drone, and Soberano Jr. face Dragon Rojo Jr., Polvora, and Vangellys. Astro, Asturiano and Ultimo Dragoncito take on Joker, Pequeno NItro and Pequeno Olimpico in what looks like it might be the best match of the night. The all local opener includes Black Tiger, Lestat, Tigre Rojo, Malayo, Fuerza Chicano and Guerrero Espacial.
Sexy Star posted a statement on her Twitter, arguing that Rosemary never had paramedics attending to her or medical work done on her, so she could not have been actually injured, so everyone’s just bullying Sexy Star but she’s brave and she’ll stand up to everyone. I talked to people who were backstage at TripleMania, and that was a real injury. That statement GFW put out about how Sexy Star and AAA had apologized is funnier by the day, because Sexy Star is the farthest thing from apologetic and, if AAA has actually punished her at all, it doesn’t seem to have any affect on her.
LA Park accused Dr. Wagner of losing his credibility by losing his mask to Psycho Clown.
The Crash says their 11/03 Guadalajara show will be at Plaza de Toros Nuevo Progreso.
La Park is an old timer hating.
Sexy Star vs Rosemary will happen, if you don’t think so you haven’t been paying attention to the business for the last 30 years.
So her “prof” that Rosemary’s arm was not hurt is
1) She was able to walk from the ring
2) Sexy Star did not see paramedics in the locker room when she Got there (not sure how long after but medical attention is given IMMEDIATELY when hurt)
3) Rosemary did not sit on the stretcher.
But of course that means everything is hunky-dory, especialy wrenching on the arm after the Bell.
LA Park is a legend and icon. He and Wagner could have milked a huge payday had they done it right. I agree with him on this, Psycho is a mid card wrestler made into a top card wrestler due to crappy talent in AAA in general. A mask match between them could have filled the Plaza del Toros at 40+k in seats. Might have been the most epic match in Lucha history. Instead we had an icon, Wagner, losing to a mid-card wrestler, made little sense to me. Sadly, AAA will waste Psycho too, as their programming in the last few years is weak at best. Vampiro sucks in that job.
Of course Sexy Star vs Rosemary will happen one day. But who gives a fuck? It’ll make no money for anyone. All it’ll do is amuse the participants themselves. Silliness as usual.
