4) Silueta DRAW Chik Tormenta Silueta vs Chik Tormenta (posted by thecubsfan)
double pin draw
5) Trauma I & Trauma II b Aero Boy & Mojo Mcqueen Aero Boy & Mojo Mcqueen vs Trauma I & Trauma II (posted by thecubsfan)
Trauma II submitted Mojo. Very good match.

This was a good show. I took video of some of the matches. They switched around the main event to put the Traumas on the same side and it worked out well, with Aero Boy doing a lot of mat wrestling to keep up with them. The loudest fans in this building are always the rudo fans, so Silueta kind of ended up working as an bitter tecnica with Chik Tormenta being cheered. Three way match was switched around and the two local guys didn’t seem as comfortable working with Fly Star as other people might have been. Fly Star slipped on a complicated armdrag early, did a couple neat dive spots later and mostly stayed out of the way. Bandolero remains really good, Latin Dragon was good too. Movado & Mano de Blanco came off as two guys came off a little bit as CHIKARA style luchadors, two guys in outfits doing some lucha while also kind of playing luchador rather than being them, but then they were also working very hard to be entertaining and their personalities made the match connect well with the crowd. +Lucha was shooting the show, so footage of it will turn up in much better form sometime later.

IWRG (SUN) 05/07/2017 Arena Naucalpan [+LuchaTV, The Gladiatores]
1) Adrenalina b Keiser Drago
2) Aramis & Shaolin b Lunatic Extreme & Vórtize
3) Atomic Star b Shadow Boy
4) Black Terry, Cerebro Negro, Pantera I b Hip Hop Man, Pibe Alfajor, Taylor Wolf
Terry surprised Wolf with a cradle in his debut here.
5) Freelance b Eterno
6) Hijo de Pirata Morgan, Pirata Morgan, Pirata Morgan Jr. DQ Heddi Karaoui, Veneno, Villano IV
Match was coming down to Pirata Sr. versus Villano IV. Pirata Jr. ran in to foul V4, missed, fouled his father, but left and the referee saw Villano standing over a fouled Pirata Sr. and gave the pirates the win. Recap notes the idea of the Villano IV/Pirata/Terry group seems to have disappeared (in usual IWRG fashion.)
7) La Mosca © b Dragón Fly [IWRG IC WELTER]
Dragon Fly had the win, but Hip Hop Man distracted the referee. Dragon Fly went after him and was beat by Mosca, who remains champ. First defense.

South American continues it’s grip on Naucalpan.

Tonight’s Puebla show has a main event rematch for no particular reason: psuedo-tecnico team Negro Casas, Maximo and Mistico defeated Diamante Azul, Mephisto and Ephesto and insisted on doing the same match next week. They’re setting up something next week, which might be Casas & Mephisto, though it’s may be totally different.

The rest of the show is the usual stuff – Guerreros vs tecnicos, boring rudos vs semi-promising tecnicos, mixed bad locals – but the show does also have the fourth micros division tag match, and only the second to air. It’s the third match on the show, so it should air about 45 minutes in. The entire show starts at 9pm tonight and airs on CMLL’s YouTube channel.

Brian Cage and Sam Adonis had a worked backstage argument/fight in UIPW which just happened to be filmed by other people backstage. Here’s Mariachi Loco’s version. Cage had teased something happening with Adonis, base off their twitter debate from a few months ago about gets to play Trump supporter, but I think you’d be able to tell it’s an angle based off that feud just by watching the video. Worth a try to get some publicity, but it doesn’t seem to have taken yet.

Arena Coliseo Guadalajara has a short video feature on Star Black, Destello and Black Sugar.

AAA & Roshfrans announced their third tryout will focus on female wrestlers. They’re put out the information about signing up for tryouts, which might be just standard or might suggest they haven’t gotten many women signing up so far.
